Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Orton Drainage District, County of Raglan.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the areas described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Orton Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed exclusion which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

AREAS PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE ORTON DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Blocks IX, XIII, Maramarua Survey District, and Blocks XII and XVI, Onewhero Survey District, commencing at the north-west corner of part of Section 1, Block XII, Onewhero Survey District; thence along a public road 100 links wide forming the north-eastern boundary of part Section 1, Block XII, Onewhero Survey District, and part Sections 1 and 2, Block IX, Maramarua Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of part Section 2, Block IX, of the said survey district; thence along a road forming the eastern boundary of part Section 2 aforesaid, across a road, and again by the said road along the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Maramarua Survey District, to the north-western corner of Lot 1, as shown on plan No. 7294 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence along a public road forming the northern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, and 4, as shown on plan No. 7294 aforesaid, to the north-east corner of Lot 4 aforesaid; thence by a public road forming part of the eastern boundary of the said Lot 4 and by Lot 2 as shown on plan No. 9806, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the south-east corner of the said Lot 4; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundaries of Lots 4, 2, and 1 aforesaid to the north-western corner of Opuatia No. 7D; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of No. 7D aforesaid to its south-western corner; thence along the south-western boundary of Opuatia No. 7D to its junction with the north-western boundary of Section 5, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 5 to the north-eastern corner of Section 4, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District; thence along the northern and western boundaries of the said Section 4 to the north-east corner of Section 13 (school-site), Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District; thence along the northern and western boundaries of the said Section 13 to its south-western corner; thence along a public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, as shown on plan No. 13393 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to its junction with a public road forming the south-western boundary of the said Lot 2; thence along the said public road to the south-western corner of Lot 2 aforesaid; thence along the western boundary of Lots 2 and 1, as shown on plan No. 13393 aforesaid, to the north-western corner of the said Lot 1; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of Section 2, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District, across a road, and again by the south boundary of said section to the south-eastern corner of Section 4B (scenic reserve), Block XVI, Onewhero Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the said Section 4B to the south-eastern corner of Section 4A (cemetery reserve) of the aforesaid Block XVI; thence along the eastern and northern boundaries of the said Section 4A to its northernmost corner; thence along a public road forming the western boundary of Section 2, Block XIII, Maramarua Survey District, across a road, and again by the road forming the western boundaries of Section 2 aforesaid, Section 4, Block IX, Maramarua Survey District, Section 2, Block XII, Onewhero Survey District, across a road, and by the road forming the western boundary of Section 6, Block XII aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Opuatia No. 12B No. 1; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries of 12B No. 1 aforesaid to a public road; thence along the said public road to its junction with a public road at the north-western corner of Part Section 1, Block XII, Onewhero Survey District, the point of commencement.
