Altering Boundaries of Hauraki Plains and Piako Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is provided by subsection two of section fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, that the boundaries of any one or more counties may be altered in accordance with a resolution proposing the alteration passed by the Council of each of such counties in which the Counties Act is in force:
And whereas a resolution was passed by the Hauraki Plains County Council on the thirteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and sealed with the seal of the Council of the said county on the same date:
And whereas a similar resolution was passed by the Piako County Council on the eighteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and sealed with the seal of the said county on the same date, praying for the alteration of the boundaries of such counties in the manner described in the said resolutions and in the First Schedule hereto:
And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration in accordance with the said resolutions:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on me by the said Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Hauraki Plains County, shall, as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, be deemed to be added to and form part of the Piako County; and, with the like power and authority, do proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the counties of Hauraki Plains and Piako respectively shall, as on and from the aforesaid date, be those set forth under their respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AREA TO BE ADDED TO PIAKO COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Tainui Settlement, and proceeding along the northern boundaries generally of that section and of Section 3, Block IV, Hapuakohe Survey District, to the Mangawhero Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to the northern boundary of Section 6, said Block IV, along the northern boundaries of said Sections 6 and Maukoro 2B 2 Block, the eastern boundary of the said Maukoro 2B 2 Block, the north-western boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block V, Waitoa Survey District, and part Maukoro Block to the Morrinsville-Waitakururu Main Road; thence along the middle of a public road forming the northern boundary of aforesaid part of Maukoro Block to the Piako River, and down the middle of that river to the northern boundary of Waitoa Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary to the south-western boundary of Te Awaiiti No. 1J 2B 4, along the said south-western boundary and the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of Te Awaiiti 1B 2B 3, to the aforesaid northern boundary of the Waitoa Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary to the middle of the Waihou River; thence southerly, westerly, and northerly along the boundary of the Hauraki Plains County as defined in the Hauraki Plains, Thames, Ohinemuri, and Piako Counties Act, 1919, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the mouth of the Waihou River; thence following up the middle of the said river in a southerly direction to a point in line with the north-western bank of the canals in Canal Reserve, Block XII, Waihou Survey District; thence to and along the said bank
