Portion of a Primary-education Endowment in the Mauriceville Settlement, Wellington Land District, set apart as a Site for a Public School.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section five of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1911, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Wellington Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2 roods 28Β·2 perches, more or less, being part of Section 46, Settlement of Mauriceville, situated in Block I, Kopuaranga Survey District, and being lot numbered 2 on the plan numbered 122/23, deposited in the Wellington District Office of the Lands and Survey Department, and thereon bordered green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 5th day of March, 1923.

Declaring Portion of the Weka Stream, Canterbury, to be a Sanctuary under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act, and that no imported or native game shall be taken or killed within the said area except pursuant to an authority granted under section thirty-one or section thirty-two of the said Act; nor shall any person, except under such conditions as may from time to time be prescribed by the Minister, take any dog or firearm into such area, or discharge any firearm or explosive in such area, or do anything likely to cause any imported game or native game to leave such area.
SCHEDULE.
THAT portion of the Weka Stream and its tributaries flowing through or bounding the properties of Messrs. F. C. Archer, A. Todd, R. B. Johnson, L. W. Ferguson, W. Antill, and A. Craighead, in the Waikari Survey District.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred on me by section three of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that from and after the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, the bird known as the blue wren or superb warbler (Malurus cyanochlams) shall be deemed to be included in the First Schedule of the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of March, 1923.

Miners' Rights no longer issued at Waikaia Post-office.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by the Mining Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the post-office at
WAIKAI
shall no longer be a post-office at which miners' rights may be issued.
