Additional Land between Wiri and Manurewa taken for the Purposes of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway, and for Road-diversion in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway to take further land between Wiri and Manurewa, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway; and to take land for road-diversion in connection therewith:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

FOR RAILWAY.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:—

FOR ROAD-DIVERSION.

Approximate area of the piece of land: 1 acre 2 roods 8·26 perches.
Part Allotment 4, Clendon’s Grant.

Situated in Papakura Parish, Blocks X and XIII, Otahuhu Survey District, Manurewa Town District. (S.O. 22263, blue.) In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 31838, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured red, green, neutral tint, and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of March, 1923.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-Napier Railway to take further land at Hastings, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 38·5 perches.
Portion of Avenue Street, Borough of Hastings. (S.O. 738, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 31818, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of March, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district not held under lease or license, or for which a lease or license has been cancelled, to be open for disposal as provided in section one hundred and thirty-five of the said Act:
