APPLICATION having been made to me for the issue
of provisional certificates of title, in favour of PHILIP
FERRIS, of Riversdale, Labourer, for Allotment 15, Block I,
plan 67, and Lot 11, plan 521, being parts of Section 199,
Hokonui District, being the land contained in certificate of
title, Vol. 40, folio 234, and Vol. 91, folio 58, respectively,
and evidence having been lodged of the loss of the said
certificates of title, I hereby give notice that I shall issue
provisional certificates of title, as requested, unless caveat
be lodged forbidding the same within fourteen days from the
date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

tofore existing between WILLIAM ALFRED COLE and
CHARLES HENRY COLE, carrying on business as Cordial-

In the matter of THE BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL FILM
COMPANY (LIMITED).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of
the above-named company duly convened and held at
the Masonic Hall, Boulcott Street, Wellington, on Tuesday,
the 27th day of February, 1923, the following extraordinary
resolution was duly passed:-
"That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting
that the company by reason of its liabilities cannot continue
its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and
accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily;
and at the same meeting Mr. HENRY DARGAVILLE BENNETT
was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-
up."

SPECIAL resolutions of the company, in terms of section
259 of the Companies Act, 1908, duly passed by the
company by an entry in its minute-book in terms of section
168 (6) of the Companies Act, 1908 :—
- That it is desirable to reconstruct the company, and
accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily;
and that DEAN WALLACE LAWSON, of Auckland, Electrical
Engineer, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the
purpose of such winding-up. - That such Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized to
consent to the registration of a new company to be called
"Lawson's Proprietary (Limited)" with a Memorandum and
Articles of Association which have already been prepared with
the privity and approval of the Directors of this company.

POHANGINA COUNTY CONUCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf enabling by the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, the Pohangina County Council hereby resolves as
follows :—
"That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £800 (eight hundred pounds), authorized to be
raised by the Pohangina County Council, under the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of building concrete
culverts and small bridges where necessary in the Umutoi
Riding, the said Pohangina County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one twenty-sixth of a penny in
the pound (1/26th of a penny in the £1) upon the capital
rateable value of all the rateable property in the Umutoi
Riding ; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the
sixteenth day of April and the sixteenth day of October in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of 361 years (thirty-six and a half years), or until the
loan is fully paid off."
