CAPE HENRY LIGHT.-ALTERATION IN CHARACTER.
Position.-Lat. 36° 56' N., long. 76° 00' W. (approx.).
New Abridged Description.-Lt. Gp. Fl. (3) W. R. ev. 20 sec.,
157 ft., vis. 18 m.
Details.-The fixed light with white and red sectors has
been replaced by a group flashing light, with white and red
sectors, showing three flashes every twenty seconds, thus :
Flash 1 sec., eclipse 2 sec.; flash 1 sec., eclipse 2 sec. :
flash 7 sec., eclipse 7 sec.
Remarks.-The limits of the sectors and remaining characteristics are unaltered.

EAST COAST. - QUEENSLAND, CURTIS CHANNEL. - LADY
ELLIOT ISLAND. - FURTHER INFORMATION RESPECTING
SHOAL SOUTH-EASTWARD OF.
Former Notice.-No. 266 of 1919.
Position.-At a distance of about 5½ miles south-eastward
from Lady Elliot Island lighthouse.
Lat. 24° 12' S., long. 152° 48' E. (approx.).
Details.-The note “reported (1918),” previously inserted
against the 5 fathom (9ml) shoal on the charts, is to be
altered to read “Not examined (1918).” The above shoal,
which is close to the track of deep draught vessels, is
apparently of greater extent than originally reported, and
mariners are cautioned accordingly when navigating in this
locality.
