hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the north-eastern side of Childers Terrace beginning at its junction with Coutts Street and extending for a distance of approximately 42·55 links, being part frontage of Lot 44, D.P. 145, part Section 5, Evans Bay District";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the north-eastern side of the portion of Childers Terrace described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Childers Terrace, fronting part Lot 44, D.P. 145, part Section 5, Evans Bay District. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55387, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1922.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twentieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz.:-

"That the Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the south-western side of Rugby Street beginning at its junction with Adelaide Road and extending for a distance of 156·06 links, being part frontage of Town Section 677, City of Wellington, as contained in certificate of title, Volume 93, folio 237, in office of the District Land Registrar";

such portion of street being described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Rugby Street, commencing at its junction with Adelaide Road, and extending for a distance of 156·06 links, abutting on part Town Section 677. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55048, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of January, 1923.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1908, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby further amend the regulations under the said Act dated the fifth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that these regulations shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.


SCHEDULE.

THE regulations hereinbefore referred to are hereby further amended as follows:-

  1. Regulation 6 is hereby amended by omitting the words "yearly lists of members and officers," and substituting therefor the words "annual returns of officers and members."

  2. Regulation 7 is hereby revoked.

  3. Regulation 15 is hereby revoked.

  4. Regulation 32 is hereby revoked and the following regulation substituted therefor:-

"32. The notification by the Commissioner to the Clerk of Awards of the opinion of the Council that a settlement of a dispute will not be arrived at shall be in the form No. 9A (amending Act, 1908, section 42)."

  1. The following new regulation is hereby inserted after regulation 36:-

"36A. Application pursuant to section 2 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Act, 1922, for the reference to a Council of Conciliation of an industrial dispute affecting two or more industrial districts shall be in the form No. 9E, and shall be accompanied by as many copies as there are other parties to the dispute, and twelve additional copies (amending Act, 1922, section 2)."

  1. Regulation 37 is hereby revoked, and the following regulation substituted therefor:-

"37. The nomination-paper for the appointment of a member of the Court shall be in the form No. 10B, and the recommendations of industrial unions of persons for appointment as members shall be in the form No. 10A (section 66, amending Act, 1922, section 8)."

  1. Regulation 40 is hereby amended by omitting the words "no settlement of an industrial dispute has been arrived at by the Council of Conciliation to which the dispute has been referred," and substituting the words "the Council to which an industrial dispute has been referred is satisfied that a settlement will not thereby be arrived at."

  2. Regulation 42 is hereby revoked, and the following regulation substituted therefor:-

"42. The certificate of the Chairman of the special meeting of each of the unions concerned shall be in the form No. 5C, with such modifications as may be required (principal Act, section 107, amending Act, 1911, section 12)."

  1. Regulation 44 is hereby revoked.

  2. Regulation 45 is hereby amended by omitting the word and symbols "12D or 13E," and substituting the word and symbol "or 12D."

  3. Regulation 78 is hereby revoked.

  4. Form No. 2A is hereby revoked, and the following form substituted therefor:-
