Authorizing the Collingwood County Council to erect a Monu-
ment at Gibbstown as a Permanent War Memorial.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day
of December, 1922.

IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance
Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as "the said section"),
and by section forty-eight of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve
of the provision by the Collingwood County Council of a
monument as a permanent war memorial, as provided by
the said section; and, with the like advice and consent, doth
hereby approve of the erection of such monument in that
portion of the County of Collingwood described in the Sche-
dule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that land, being parts of Lots 33 and 34, Gibbstown, on
a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Nelson under
No. 775, and being part of Section 200, Takaka (Aorere),
situated in Block XV of the Pakawau Survey District, con-
taining 12 perches, bounded as follows: Commencing at a
point distant 55 links from the northern corner of the said
Lot 33, on the north-westward (140 links) by Elizabeth
Street, and on the south-westward, southward, and eastward
(170 links) by other parts of the said Lots 33 and 34.

Cancelling a Condition as to setting back the Building-line
of the Southern Side of Portion of Bond Street (now known
as Dorking Road), Brooklyn, in the City of Wellington,
imposed by an Order in Council under Section 117 of the
Public Works Act, 1905.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the Order
in Council dated the twenty-third day of June, one thousand
nine hundred and eight, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 52, of the second day of July, one thousand nine
hundred and eight, exempting Bond Street, Dorking Street,
and Brighton Terrace, Brooklyn, in the City of Wellington,
from the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen
of the Public Works Act, 1905, subject to certain conditions
as to the building-line, by cancelling the building-line con-
dition in so far as such condition affects that portion of the
southern side of Bond Street (now known as Dorking Road)
described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land
District, City of Wellington, known as Dorking Road
(formerly Bond Street), commencing at its junction with
Washington Avenue and extending for a distance of 208.9 links,
abutting on Lot 178, D.P. 392, part Section 12, Ohiro Regis-
tration District, Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District.
As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 55968, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wel-
lington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Conferring on Rotorua County Council Powers of Borough
Councils with respect to Waterworks.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day
of December, 1922.

IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Counties Act, 1920,
that the Governor-General may by Order in Council
confer on any County Council such of the powers of Borough
Councils with respect to the supply of water for domestic
or industrial purposes as he thinks fit, and with such
restrictions, modifications, and conditions as he thinks fit,
and thereupon that County Council shall have and may
exercise the said powers accordingly pursuant to the tenor
of the said Order in Council: And whereas it is expedient
to confer upon the Rotorua County Council certain of the
said powers of Borough Councils:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in him in that behalf by
the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
confer on the said Rotorua County Council all the powers
with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial
purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council
under sections eighty-two to eighty-seven, Part XXIV
(with the exception of sections two hundred and forty-five
and two hundred and forty-seven), and section three hundred
and thirty-nine of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
and section eleven of the Municipal Corporations Amendment
Act, 1921-22.

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day
of December, 1922.

IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made, under section
twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for
the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to
enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule
hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient
that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter
mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the
Schedule hereto; and it is hereby declared that this Order
in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of
the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a
consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of
the said loans.
