Altering Boundaries of Ridings, County of Waitemata.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1922.

Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and gazetted on the thirtieth day of the same month, the area described in the Schedule thereto, situated in the County of Waitemata, was constituted a town district called the Henderson Town District:

And whereas the effect of the constitution of the said town district is such that the Waikumete and Waipareira Ridings of the said county are not now in conformity with section nineteen of the Counties Act, 1920 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”):

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said section nineteen of the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby alter the Waikumete and Waipareira Ridings of the said county, and doth hereby order and declare that the boundaries thereof shall be those set forth in the First and Second Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF WAIKUMETE RIDING.

ALL that area in the County of Waitemata bounded on the north generally by the Waipareira and Waitakerei Ridings, and on the south-east generally by the Titirangi Riding.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF WAIPAREIRA RIDING.

ALL that area in the County of Waitemata bounded, commencing at the south-west corner of the Waitakerei Block, in Block I, Waitakerei Survey District, towards the north generally by the southern boundaries of the Waitakerei Block aforesaid and Allotment 8, Parish of Waitakerei, to the Waitakerei River; thence by the Waitakerei River to the north-west corner of Allotment 84, Parish of Waitakerei; thence by the northern boundary of the said Allotment 84 to the centre of the road forming its eastern boundary; thence by a line along the centre of the said road to the Swanson West Coast Road; thence by the centre of the Swanson West Coast Road to the Swanson Creek; thence by the Swanson Creek to the Taikata Creek; thence towards the east by the Taikata Creek, the Henderson Creek, the Henderson Town District to and by the Oratia Stream to the south side of Parr’s Cross Road, intersecting Allotment 5, Parish of Waikumete; thence towards the south by the south side of Parr’s Cross Road to the junction of the Henderson West Coast Road; thence by the centre of the Henderson West Coast Road to the junction of the Waikumete West Coast Road; thence by the centre of the Waikumete West Coast Road to the southern boundary of Allotment 100, Parish of Waitakerei; thence by the southern boundaries of the said Allotment 100 and Allotment 67 to the Piha Block; thence by part of the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the Piha Block to the Tasman Sea; thence towards the west by the Tasman Sea to the point of commencement.

Amending Regulations for the Election of Members of Harbour Boards.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1922.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the nineteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 52, of the twenty-second day of the same month, regulations were made for the election of members of Harbour Boards: And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by sections seven and thirteen of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the hereinbefore-recited regulations in the manner hereinafter described:—

(1.) In regulation 13, by substituting the words “25th day of January” in lieu of the “14th day of January” in the fourth line thereof:

(2.) In regulation 15, by substituting the words “26th until the 31st” for the words “15th until the 20th” in the third line thereof:

(3.) In regulation 16, by repealing the words “the 20th day of January and prior to” in the second line thereof.

Amending the Cook Islands Regulations as to Education.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1922.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on him by sections fifty-three and fifty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations as to education made under the said Act on the second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the fifth day of the same month.

SCHEDULE.

CLAUSE 1 of the said regulations is hereby amended by substituting for the word “seven” in the definition of “school age” the word “six.”

Apportioning Amounts payable to Various Acclimatization Societies for Opossums taken in their District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 19th day of December, 1922.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby provide and declare that the sum of two thousand two hundred and fourteen pounds, being two-thirds of the net revenue derived from the payment of fees, fines, and royalties with respect to the taking of opossums, shall be paid to the acclimatization societies referred to in the Schedule hereto in the amounts set opposite the name of each respectively.
