And whereas the last Wednesday in April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, is Anzac Day, which the Anzac Day Act, 1920, as amended by the Anzac Day Amendment Act, 1921-22, declares shall be observed throughout New Zealand in all respects as if Anzac Day were a Sunday:
And whereas the said election of members of Harbour Boards accordingly cannot be held at the time required by the said section eight, and it is expedient to extend such time:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixty-five of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the said election of members of Harbour Boards hereinbefore referred to; and doth hereby declare that the said election shall be held, under the provisions of the Harbours Amendment Act, 1910, on Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three.

Extension of Time for Preparation of County Rolls, &c., County of Westland.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1923.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that the preparation of the rolls for the County of Westland, and the taking of certain steps consequent on such preparation, cannot be made and taken within the times mentioned in the Counties Act, 1920, and it is expedient to extend the said times respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Counties Act, 1920, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the several dates mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective dates for taking the several steps set out in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

For preparing the rolls for the ridings within the County of Westland: Until the 22nd day of February, 1923.

Time for which such rolls shall be open for inspection: From the 27th day of February, 1923, to the 15th day of March, 1923.

Time for appeals against the said rolls: Until the 22nd day of March, 1923.

Time when the said rolls, having been corrected and signed, shall come into force: On the 18th day of April, 1923.

Fixing the Date on which the Waimakariri River Improvement Act, 1922, shall come into Force.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one of the Waimakariri River Improvement Act, 1922, it is provided that the said Act shall come into force on a date to be fixed in that behalf by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas by an Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, the date on which the said Act shall come into force was fixed as the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three:
And whereas the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, is not now a suitable date on which the said Act shall come into force, and it is considered expedient to alter such date:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Waimakariri River Improvement Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby fix the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, in lieu of the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, as the date on which the Waimakariri River Improvement Act, 1922, shall come into force.

The Eastern Side of Portion of Mulgrave Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of February, 1923.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twenty-first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz.:
“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the eastern side of Mulgrave Street beginning at a point 151·5 links from its junction with Pipitea Street and extending for a distance of 76·52 links being frontage of part Town Section 543, City of Wellington”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the eastern side of the portion of Mulgrave Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Mulgrave Street, fronting part Town Section 543, City of Wellington. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55937, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
