do hereby proclaim the district described in the Schedule
hereto to be a railway district, and I do hereby assign to
such district the name of the Putaruru-Taupo Railway
District.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Auckland Land District bounded,
commencing at the southern corner of 6076, Tihoi No. 1
Block, on the shore of Lake Taupo; thence in a northerly
direction along the south-western boundary of such block
to the north-western corner thereof; thence northerly and
westerly along the south-western boundary of Tihoi No. 3
Block to the point where such boundary crosses a tributary
of the Huruhurumaku Stream about fifty chains eastward of
the point where the said boundary of Tihoi No. 3 Block
intersects the western boundary of Block IX, Marotiri Survey
District; thence down such tributary of the Huruhurumaku
Stream into such stream, thence down such stream to the
Mangakino Stream, thence down the Mangakino Stream into
the Waikato River, thence across such river and down the
right bank thereof to the south-western corner of 8837,
Matanuku No. 2c 2 Block; thence easterly along the southern
boundary of such block and the southern boundaries of 8837,
Matanuku 2r 2 and 2b 2 Blocks; thence northerly along the
eastern boundary of such last-mentioned block to the north-
eastern corner thereof; thence easterly along the southern
boundary of part Matanuku No. 3 Block (500 acres), and
northerly along the eastern boundary thereof to the southern
boundary of Section 43c (Selwyn Settlement), Block V,
Patetere South Survey District; thence easterly along such
last-mentioned boundary to the Raparahi Stream; thence
down the Raparahi Stream to the point where the northern
boundary of the said Block V, Patetere South Survey District
crosses such stream; thence easterly along such boundary
to the south-western corner of Block 2, Patetere South
Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundary
of such block to the north-western corner thereof; thence
easterly along the northern boundary of such block and the
northern boundary of Block 3, Patetere South Survey District,
to the point where such last-mentioned boundary meets the
western boundary of Block XV, Patetere North Survey
District; thence northerly, westerly, and easterly along the
western and northern boundaries of the said Block XV to
the north-western corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 14990 (Auckland),
being part of northern portion of Section 37 of the said
Block XV; thence southerly along the western boundary of
the said Lot 1, D.P. 14990, to the Ngatira Road; thence
westerly along the northern side of the Ngatira Road to a
point due north of the north-eastern corner of Section 35 of
the said Block XV; thence southerly across such road, and
along the eastern boundary of such Section 35 to the south-
eastern corner thereof; thence by a right line to the
Kokako (825) Trig.; thence south-easterly by a right line
to the westernmost corner of the Kokako Native Reserve;
thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of
such reserve to the northern boundary of 5598B, Te Ranga No. 2
Block; thence easterly along such boundary to the north-
eastern corner of such block; thence southerly along the
eastern boundary of such block to the northern boundary
of 5598A, Te Ranga No. 1 Block; thence westerly along such
boundary and southerly along the western boundary of such
block to the northern boundary of Section 45 (Selwyn Settle-
ment), Block IV, Patetere South Survey District; thence
easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern
boundaries of such section to the northern corner of 4917A,
Tokoroa No. 1 Block; thence generally in a south-easterly
direction along the north-eastern boundary of such block to
the northern corner of 5220, Tikorangi Block; thence south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundary of such block to
the Horohoro Trig.; thence westerly along the southern
boundary of such block to the eastern boundary of Block XIV,
Ngautuku Survey District; thence generally in a southerly
direction along the eastern boundary of such last-mentioned
block, and along the eastern boundary of Block IV, Te
Atiamuri Survey District, and the south-eastern boundaries
of Blocks 8 and 7 of such last-mentioned survey district to
the Waikato River; thence southerly across such river,
thence up the left bank of such river to the Orakonui Stream;
thence up such stream to the confluence of such stream with
the Otawheta Stream; thence up the Otawheta Stream to the
point where the south-western boundary of 301, Tahora
Kuri Block, crosses such stream; thence generally in a
westerly direction along the boundary of such block to the
eastern boundary of Block X, Tatua Survey District; thence
southerly along such boundary and the eastern boundary of
Block XIV, Tatua Survey District, to the Waikato River;
thence south-westerly along the left bank of such river to
the shores of Lake Taupo, thence generally in a westerly
direction along the shore of Lake Taupo to the commencing-
point. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 56347, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1923.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject
to the Land Act, 1908.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of stopped Government
roads declared to be Crown land:—

Situated in Block IV, Hillend Survey District (Otago
R.D.).

In the Otago Land District; as the same are more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55430,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1923.

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government
House at Wellington, this 27th day of January, 1923.
