NOTICE is hereby given that the above company, having its registered office at Nos. 41–43 High Street, Hawera, has this day gone into voluntary liquidation, and the under-signed duly appointed Liquidator.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RATE TO COVER INTEREST ON UPOKONGARO BRIDGE LOAN OF £250.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £250, authorized to be raised by the Wanganui County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for payment of the cost of completion of the erection of the Upokongaro Bridge, the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/120th part of a penny in the pound upon the rateable (capital) value of all rateable property of the Mangawhero Riding of the Wanganui County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of March and the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned LEONARD THOMAS and LAWRENCE HAROLD JOHNSON, carrying on business as Garage Proprietors and Motor Engineers at New Plymouth under the style of “Thomas and Johnson,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st October, 1922. All debts owing to the late firm should be forthwith paid to the said LAWRENCE HAROLD JOHNSON, who will discharge its liabilities. In future the motor businesses will still be carried on in the premises occupied by the late firm, but the said LEONARD THOMAS will own and conduct the Motor Repairs Department and the said LAWRENCE HAROLD JOHNSON will own and conduct the Motor Sales Department.

RESOLUTION.
THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Dunedin Jockey Club at a meeting held on the 16th day of November, 1922, at Dunedin, with a recommendation by the Chairman of such club, Mr. A. C. Hanlon, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. A. C. Hanlon, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. P. Miller seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
The following are the regulations referred to:—
DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Dunedin Jockey Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby revoke the regulations dated the 18th day of August, 1921, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Wingatui Racecourse situated in the district of East Taieri, and known as the Wingatui Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
(c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association.
(d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
(e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.
Provided always that the Stipendiary Stewards’ Committee appointed by the New Zealand Racing Conference, upon being satisfied by evidence as to character and otherwise that any person who, by reason of any conviction, comes within the scope of this regulation should have relief from the effect thereof, may grant exemption to any such person, and may at any time revoke any such exemption without notice to such person, and without assigning any reason for such revocation.
The foregoing regulations of the Dunedin Jockey Club were made and passed by such club on the 16th day of November, 1922, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.

McCarthy, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.
Mr. B. McCarthy, the Chairman of such club and the meeting, moved, and Mr. D. J. Goodwin seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman and Secretary be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.
