Meetings of Westland Land Board.
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 23rd November, 1922.
HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance
of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of
meetings of the Westland Land Board being held at the
District Lands and Survey Office, Hokitika, at 10 o’clock a.m.
on Wednesday, the 10th January, 21st February, 21st March,
18th April, 16th May, 20th June, 18th July, 15th August,
19th September, 17th October, 21st November, and 19th
December during the year 1923.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Road of less Width than 66 ft.
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Minister of Lands, it is
inexpedient (by reason of the fact that the land shown
upon the plan of Logan-Campbell Township Extension No. 2,
affecting part of Allotment 12, Section 12, Suburbs of Auck-
land, prepared by A. H. Bridge, Licensed Surveyor, is intended
to be used wholly for residential purposes) that the road shown
therein should be of the width of 66 ft. :
Now, therefore, I, David Henry Guthrie, Minister of Lands,
do hereby, in pursuance of the power vested in me by section 2
of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, and of every other
power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off of such
road of a width of not less than 47 ft. ; providing always
that it shall not be lawful for any person to erect or cause
to be erected any building at a less distance than 33 ft. from
the middle-line of such road.

Award of Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers’ Decoration.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary
Forces Officers’ Decoration to Major W. H. McLean, M.C.,
of the Wellington Regiment.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VIII, Matapiro
Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute
a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road
in Block VIII, Matapiro Survey District ; and for the pur-
poses of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Fernhill, and is
there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing,
and send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington.

55497, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Notice of the Appointment of a Member of the New Zealand
Wool Committee.
I, WILLIAM NOSWORTHY, Minister of Agriculture, do
hereby appoint Charles John Reakes, Director-General
of Agriculture, to be the Government representative on the
New Zealand Wool Committee, and to hold office during the
pleasure of the New Zealand Government, under and in pur-
suance of the Board of Trade (Wool Industry) Regulations,
1921, vice Thomas Rowley Lees, resigned, owing to absence
from New Zealand.

Notice of Vesting of Land in the Public Trustee under the
Public Trust Office Act, 1908, Part II, Unclaimed Lands.
WHEREAS I, the undersigned, the Public Trustee, have,
for the purposes of Part II of the Public Trust Office
Act, 1908 (relating to unclaimed lands), made due inquiries
with respect to the land described in the Schedule hereunder,
and the whereabouts of the owner thereof, and have, in
respect of the said land, given the notices prescribed by
section 66 of that Act, and have in all respects complied with
the provisions of that Act pertinent hereto: And whereas
I have not thereby ascertained the whereabouts of the owner,
and believe that such owner or an agent of such owner is
not in the Dominion, nor has such owner established his title
to the said land, as required by the said Act: I hereby
give notice that the said land is, under and by virtue of the
said Act, vested in the Public Trustee as aforesaid, as from
the date of the publication hereof, and will be administered
under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, and its amendments,
the value of the land for the purposes of section 67 (d) of
the said Act being less than £500.

Auckland, containing by admeasurement 40 acres, more or
less, being Allotment No. 67, Parish of Waikomiti, County of
Eden. Bounded on the north by a road, 660 links, 320 links,
200 links, 300 links, and 160 links ; on the east by Allotment
No. 66, 2060 links ; on the south by Allotment No. 38 and a
road, 2000 links ; and on the west by a road, 590 links and
1644 links ; and being the land conveyed by conveyance
registered in the Deeds Registry Office at Auckland under
No. 41671, bearing date the 25th June, 1859, by Patrick
Coyle, the Crown grantee, to one Anne Maria Casey, by
direction of her husband, Jeremiah Casey.
