Proclaiming Native Land to have become Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amendments:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has become Crown land.
SCHEDULE.
PARAEROA No. 1 Block, Waingaromia Survey District : Approximate area, 222 acres 2 roods 18 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of November, 1922.

Constituting the Town District of Russell, County of Bay of Islands.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:
And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition and in the Schedule hereto, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:
And whereas it is desirable that the said area be constituted a town district:
Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that as on and from the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Russell Town District; and, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five.
SCHEDULE.
RUSSELL TOWN DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded on the west, north, and east by the high-water mark of the
Bay of Islands, and on the east and south by the eastern and southern boundaries of Old Land Claim No. 128, in Block J, Russell Survey District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand ; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1922.

Notifying Land in the Otago Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Tuesday, the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.--SUBURBAN LAND.
Ranfurly Nursery.--Town of Ranfurly.
SECTIONS 1, 2, and 21, Block I : Area, 49 acres o roods 5 perches; upset price, £2,070.
The following buildings are included in the upset price: S.D. brick dwelling of six rooms with scullery, bathroom, H.P. boiler, three iron tanks, &c. Men's quarters of S.D. brick with large iron leanto; storeroom of wood and iron; a water-right and a dam go with the property.
The following buildings not included in the upset price may be purchased for removal at the price set opposite each, namely: Engine-shed and engine (Niven and Co.), corrugated iron stand, £150; stable and tool-house, £300; open-front implement-shed, £100.
This fine property is surrounded by a shelter-belt of trees, and subdivided by well-kept hedges. It lies within a mile of Ranfurly Railway-station and post-office and within half a mile of Ranfurly School, on a good level road. The greater part of the soil is good, and the land level.

Amendments and Additions to Polling-places under Legislature Act, 1908.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Legislature Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby amend the polling-places as shown against the electoral districts the names of which are specified in the following Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
Waipawa Electoral District--
Town Hall, Waipukurau, to be altered to St. Mary's Sunday School, Waipukurau, and St. Andrew's Sunday School, Waipukurau.
Nelson Electoral District--
Borck Bros.' Meeting-room, Nydia Bay, to be altered to Marlborough Timber Company's Office, Nydia Bay.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 22nd day of November, 1922.

Lands permanently reserved.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-twenty-second section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-twenty-first section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
