Horouta District Licensing Poll Act, 1922.—Polling-places appointed for Taking of Poll.
IN pursuance of regulation 6 of the regulations under the Horouta District Licensing Poll Act, 1922, the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto are appointed to be polling-places for the purposes of a poll to be taken on the 6th day of December, 1922, of those Maoris residing in the Horouta Maori District who are qualified to vote as electors at the general election for the election of a Maori member of Parliament, to determine whether or not liquor may be supplied to Natives in that district.

Land in Canterbury Land District for Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Christchurch, 13th November, 1922.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease to discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 15th day of January, 1923.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for a term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 17th day of January, 1923, at 10.30 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
