clamation dated the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 100, of the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, subject to the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. No electric lines shall be used for the distribution of electrical energy until the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-power Board has obtained a license for such purpose in accordance with the provisions of section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911.

  2. Any conditions inserted in such licenses shall be strictly complied with by such Board.

  3. Such Board shall forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works such further plans and particulars as the Minister of Public Works may from time to time require.

  4. The Board shall not, without the consent in writing of the Minister of Public Works, erect any electric lines along the routes of the Government main trunk transmission-lines.

  5. The works hereby authorized shall be constructed so as to comply with the regulations made under section 2 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, dated the ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of the same month, or any regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein.

  6. The Board shall substantially complete the works hereby authorized within a period of three years from the date of this license, or within such further time as the Minister may allow in the event of the work being delayed by strikes, lock-outs, breakdowns, or other unavoidable causes not due to any neglect by the licensee.

  7. The Board shall rectify to the satisfaction of the Minister of Telegraphs any interference or disturbance that affects the satisfactory working of the telegraph lines which are the property of the Telegraph Department.

Authorizing the Exchange of a Reserve in the North Auckland Land District for other Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of October, 1922.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the First Schedule hereto is a road reserve: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the said land for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is deemed by the Governor-General to be of equal value and more suitable for the purposes of a road reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section twelve of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the said land described in the First Schedule hereto may be exchanged for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF RESERVE AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by a public road, 100 links; towards the east by Lot 65 on plan numbered 11377, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, 375 links; towards the south by road reserve, 100 links; and towards the west by Lot 64 on said plan 11377, 375 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/978, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 36 perches, more or less, being lot numbered 64 on said plan 11377. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 100 links; towards the east

by road reserve, 475 links; towards the south by Lot III on said plan 11377, 100 links; and towards the west by Lot 63, 475 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked L. and S. 16/978, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Board of Trade Regulations.—Amending Maximum Prices of Flour, Bran, and Pollard.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of October, 1922.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section twenty-six of the Board of Trade Act, 1919, and of every power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the New Zealand Board of Trade, amend the Order in Council of the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, fixing maximum prices of flour, bran, and pollard, by inserting in the Second Schedule thereto (relating to flour) the figures “£15 10s.” in lieu of the figures “£18” in clauses one and three thereof.

This Order in Council shall come into force on the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Board of Trade Regulations.—Altering Maximum Price of Bread.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of October, 1922.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section twenty-six of the Board of Trade Act, 1919, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the New Zealand Board of Trade, revoke the Order in Council fixing the maximum price of bread, dated the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the following Board of Trade Regulations fixing and determining the maximum price of bread mentioned in the Schedule hereto in accordance with the provisions of that Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

  1. THE maximum price of bread in respect to the South Island shall be 5½d. per 2 lb. loaf when sold over the counter for cash, with an additional ½d. for cash on delivery and a further ¼d. for booking; and in respect to the North Island shall be 6d. per 2 lb. loaf when sold over the counter for cash, with an additional ½d. for cash on delivery and a further ¼d. for booking.

  2. Notwithstanding anything in this Order in Council, the Board of Trade may, by order made and published by it in such manner as it thinks fit, authorize the sale of bread in any specified locality at a price exceeding the prices fixed as aforesaid by such amount as the Board thinks fit; and nothing in this Order in Council shall apply to the sale of bread in that locality in accordance with the authority so granted by the Board of Trade.

  3. Any such authority may be at any time withdrawn by the Board of Trade by order made and published by it in such manner as it thinks fit.

  4. This Order in Council shall come into operation with respect to the South Island on the 30th October, 1922, and with respect to the North Island on the 6th November, 1922.
