IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the area described in the Schedule hereto to be an electric-power district, and I hereby assign to such district the name of the "Central Hawke's Bay Electric-power District."

SCHEDULE.

CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.

ALL that area, situated in the Hawke's Bay Land District, comprising the boroughs of Waipukurau and Waipawa, the counties of Patangata, Waipawa, and Waipukurau, and the Town District of Otane, all as at present constituted. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 55210, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered red (outside border).

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby pro-claim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power (Mangahao scheme); and I do also declare that this Pro-clamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.
