Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the poll of the ratepayers had been taken at the proper time, and that the validity of the proceedings shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Vesting a Reserve in the Onerahi Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 21st day of August, 1922.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for water-conservation purposes:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Onerahi Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Onerahi Town Board, in trust, for water-conservation purposes.

WHEREAS by section nine of the Mining Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council appoint fit persons to be Wardens, who shall hold office during the Governor-General’s pleasure:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the said section nine of the Mining Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
HENRY JAMES DIXON, Esq.,
to be a Warden, to hold and exercise the duties of such office under and subject to the provisions of the said Act during pleasure, on and from the sixteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

Cancelling the Reservation over Section 21, Te Araroa Native Township.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and twenty-two of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1913, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
cancel the reservation for the purpose of recreation over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 21, Te Araroa Native Township: Area, 10 acres.

Increasing Number of Days on which Charges may be made for Admission to the Taumarunui and Rangaroa Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by sections two and three of the Public Reserves and Domains Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby increase the number of days which may be prescribed by the Taumarunui and Rangaroa Domain Board as days upon which charges may be made, pursuant to section twenty-nine of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, for admission to the public domain described in the Schedule hereto, or to any part thereof set apart for a particular purpose, from ten days to fifteen days in any year.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TAUMARUNUI AND RANGAROA DOMAIN.
SECTION 9, Block V, Rangaroa Village: Area, 9 acres 2 roods 20 perches.
Also Section 1, Block X, Town of Taumarunui: Area, 26 acres 0 roods 18 perches.
Also Section 3, Block XIII, Tuhua Survey District: Area, 110 acres 3 roods 20 perches.

Opening Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Selection.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and amendments, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Borough of Mosgiel.—East Taieri Survey District.—Melville Park Settlement.
SECTION 2s: Area, 20 acres; capital value, £1,110; half-yearly rent, £24 19s. 6d.
Section 4s: Area, 7 acres 2 roods; capital value, £460; half-yearly rent, £10 7s.
The improvements included in the capital value of the sections consist of fencing valued as follows: Section 2s, £1 5s.; Section 4s, £1.
The improvements not included in the capital values, but which have to be paid for in cash, are: Section 2s, fencing valued at £15 18s.
Melville Park Settlement is situated in the Borough of Mosgiel, within easy distance of railway-station, post-office, and district high school. The land is level and of very fine quality, the soil being a very rich black loam resting on a sandy clay formation. Access is by level well-formed road. The land is admirably suited for dairying or intense cultivation. Mosgiel has an excellent water-supply, electric lighting, and a large well-known woollen-factory.
