Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz. :-

" The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the north-western side of Arney Street beginning at a point 260 34 links from its junction with Riddiford Street and extending for a distance of 51 46 links, being part frontage of Lot 39, D.P. 24, part Town Section 831, City of Wellington" ; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the north-western side of the portion of Arney Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Arney Street, abutting on part Lot 39, D.P. 24, part Town Section 831. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 53787, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of Road in the Stoke Road District exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of August, 1922. Present : HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Stoke Road Board on the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz. :-

" The Stoke Road Board, having control of that portion of the Stoke Canning-factory- Saxton's Corner Road, fronting Pt. Section 66, Block VII, in the Waimea Survey District, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said portion of road"; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the south-eastern side of the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road, situated in the Nelson Land District, Stoke Road District, abutting on part Section 66, Suburban South, Block VII, Waimea Survey District. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 54938, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

The Southern Side of Portion of Leach Street, in the Borough of New Plymouth, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of August, 1922. Present : HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the New Plymouth Borough Council on the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz. :-

" That the New Plymouth Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen, subsection one, of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the southern side of Leach Street to which Sections 1556 and 1557, New Plymouth, have frontages"; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the southern side of the portion of Leach Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street, situated in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, known as Leach Street, abutting on Sections 1556 and 1557, Town of New Plymouth. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 54937, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured yellow.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the Riverton Harbour Board in respect of a Loan of £250 for repaying its Antecedent Liability.

JELLICOE, Governor-General. ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of August, 1922. Present : HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, as amended by section six of the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act, 1921, provides that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term not less than ten years, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council: And whereas the Riverton Harbour Board is authorized to borrow the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds for repaying its antecedent liability:

And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per centum per annum:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Riverton Harbour Board in respect of the said loan of two hundred and fifty pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Riverton Harbour Board is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of two hundred and fifty pounds accordingly.
