AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £600,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland Electric-power Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for electric-power extensions within the Auckland Electric-power District, the said Auckland Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Auckland Electric-power District, comprising the City of Auckland together with the boroughs of Onehunga, Otahuhu, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, and Newmarket, the road districts of One Tree Hill and Mount Roskill, the town districts of Ellerslie, Papakura, Papatoetoe, and Manurewa, and the County of Manukau ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirty-first day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Auckland Electric-power Board Act, 1921, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £50,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland Electric-power Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of completing the undertaking in respect of which a loan of £500,000 was raised by the Auckland City Council, the said Auckland Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-first of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Auckland Electric-power District, comprising the City of Auckland, the boroughs of Onehunga, Otahuhu, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, and Newmarket, the road districts of One Tree Hill and Mount Roskill, the town districts of Ellerslie, Papakura, Papatoetoe, and Manurewa, and the County of Manukau ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING A BRIDGE RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan or loans to be raised under the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for providing the funds for the reconstruction of bridges exceeding 30 feet in span on roads under the jurisdiction of the Pahiatua County Council, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound (to be called a bridge rate) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Pahiatua ; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan or loans, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan or loans until the said loan or loans are fully paid off.

ORAPIU ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Orapiu Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and ten pounds, authorized to be raised by the Orapiu Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing sea-wall, culverts, and reforming certain roads, the said Orapiu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Orapiu Road District, comprising the whole of the Orapiu Road District (as in the New Zealand Gazette) ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Finance Act, 1921–22, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and of all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Council of the Borough of Hawera, at a special meeting of the said Council held at the Council Chambers, Hawera, on the 10th day of July, 1922, hereby resolves :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £6,200, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of paying off the whole of its “ antecedent liability ” as defined by the Local Bodies' Finance Act, 1921–22, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-four hundredths (34/100ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of July in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven (7) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RAETIHI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Raetihi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Raetihi Borough Council Town Improvements Loan of £1,300, 1922, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of (a) metalling Ward Street from Grey Street to Hospital entrance, (b) laying water-mains from Pitt Street to Hospital entrance, (c) completing tunnel in Queen Street, (d) forming and gritting footpath in Parapara Road from Pitt Street to Cemetery, (e) erection of crushing plant and installation of electric power for same, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Raetihi ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
