Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Whangarei, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.—Scenic Reserves Loan, 1919, £700.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Whangarei taken on the 2nd day of July, 1919, on the proposal of the Whangarei Borough Council to borrow the sum of £700 for the purpose of providing half the cost of purchasing certain portions of Messrs. D. K. Tennant’s and J. D. McKenzie’s properties as scenic reserves, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 53, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 46.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposed Loans.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers was taken on the 28th day of June, 1922, on proposals to raise loans for the following purposes :
(a.) Completion of water-filtration scheme .. .. £2,000
(b.) Extension of water reticulation .. .. 5,800

(a.) Proposal for completion of water-filtration scheme, £2,000 : Total number of votes recorded for the proposal, 55 ; total number of votes recorded against the proposal, 7 ; majority for the proposal, 48.
(b.) Proposal for extension of water reticulation, £5,800 : Total number of votes recorded for the proposal, 51 ; total number of votes recorded against the proposal, 11 ; majority for the proposal, 40.
The majority of votes being for the above proposals, I therefore declare the said proposals carried.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries, Manawatu Drainage District, County of Kairanga.

IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Land Drainage Act, 1908, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be included in the Manawatu Drainage District. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed inclusion which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
