Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 25 Section 1b No. 2 Block to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the tenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine and fifty of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 15 acres 1 rood 24 perches.

Being portion of Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 25 Section 1b No. 2 Block, situated in Block X, Mapara, and Block I, Pahi Survey Districts.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/961, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 1963, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of June, 1922.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of June then instant, setting apart settlement lands for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 131 acres 3 roods 1 perch, more or less, being Section 16s, Pakaraka Settlement, Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, and being portion of Sections 16s, 18s, and 19s of the said Pakaraka Settlement as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1918, page 2172. Bounded, commencing at a point in a public road being the southernmost corner of Section 15s of the said Pakaraka Settlement, towards the north generally by the southern boundary of said Section 15s, 2086·5, 3222·3, and 526·9 links; towards the north-east by the south-western boundary of Section 14s of the said Pakaraka Settlement, 234·5 links; towards the south-east and south generally by the north-western boundaries of Subdivisions P, T, and U of Motatau No. 4 Block, 5310, 204·8, 564·6, and 418·9 links to a public road; thence towards the west generally by said public road, 609·7, 1639·4, 343·1, 549·3, 228·2, and 1379 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 21/74, deposited at Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of June, 1922.
