Councils throughout the Dominion shall be held on the
fourth Wednesday in May : And whereas it is expedient
to extend the time for holding such meeting in the Kowai
County:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in him by section two hundred and sixteen
of the said Act, and of all other powers in anyway enabling
him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby extend the time for holding the annual meeting of
the Kowai County Council, and doth hereby order and
declare that in the aforesaid county the said annual meeting
shall be held and take place on Friday, the ninth day of
June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the twenty-third day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, viz.--
"That the Auckland City Council, having control of Dignan Street, Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to that portion of the said street fronting Lots 110 and 111 of Allotment 21 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the eastern side of the portion of Dignan Street described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, situated in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Dignan Street, abutting on Lots 110 and 111 of Allotment 21 of Section 8, Suburbs of Auckland. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 53880, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.

Vesting a Reserve in the Westland County Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a public cemetery : And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Westland County: Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Westland County, in trust, for a public cemetery.
SCHEDULE.
CEMETERY RESERVE No. 963.
ALL that area of land in the Westland Land District, situate in Block XI, Okarito Survey District, containing 6 acres 3 roods 33 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 963, bounded as follows : Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 1837, Block XI, Okarito Survey District; thence running along the south-western boundary of that section for a distance of 427·7 links; thence in a south-easterly direction through said Section 1837 for the several distances of 145·8, 609·2, 382·1, and 549·8 links to the Main South Road: thence in a southerly direction along Main South Road for a distance of 129·2 links; thence in a north-westerly direction through Section 1837 for the several distances of 600, 400, 600, and 64·8 links to the south-western boundary of said Section 1837; thence in a south-easterly direction along south-western boundary of said Section 1837 for a distance of 423·6 links; thence south-westerly through Section 1248 for a distance of 707·2 links; thence north-westerly for 707·2 links; thence north-easterly for 607·2 links; and thence north-westerly 246·4 links to East Road, Town of Okarito ; thence north-easterly along East Road for a distance of 100 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked 2/113, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1908, the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and dated the twenty-second day of September, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same month, or any regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor (and hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”), and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein—hereby grant to John O'Halloran, of Glentui Station, Oxford, Farmer (hereinafter with his executors, administrators, and assigns referred to as “the licensee”), a license to take and use from the Glentui River (hereinafter referred to as “the said river”), in the Canterbury Land District, for the purposes hereinafter set forth, a stream of water (hereinafter referred to as “the said water”) not exceeding 10 cubic feet per second at any one time; and also to erect and maintain electric lines for power, lighting, heating, or other uses within the area of supply hereinafter described, such electric lines at present proposed to be erected being indicated by means of red lines shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 48909, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District; but nothing herein shall be held to guarantee that the said stream contains sufficient water to supply 10 cubic feet per second hereinbefore mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
- PLANS.
THE licensee shall, before the works hereby authorized are commenced, forward for the approval of the Minister of Public Works (hereinafter referred to as “the Minister”)--
(a.) Full detailed drawings and specifications of the divert-ing weir and dam.
(b.) Drawings showing how and in what manner the water diverted is to be returned to the Glentui River.
(c.) Contour plan showing difference in level of water due to the construction of the headworks. - UTILIZATION OF THE WATER.
The said water shall be used solely for the purpose of generating electricity, and shall be returned to the Glentui River at or near the power-house.
