RECONSTRUCTION OF COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Union Box and Packing-case Company (Limited) is being reconstructed, and will voluntarily cease to do business in New Zealand on the first day of May, 1922.

With reference to the above notice, a new company called “The Union Box and Timber Company (Limited)” has been incorporated, and will take over all the assets and liabilities of the old company. The new company proposes to carry on business in the Dominion of New Zealand at Rawene, in the Provincial District of Auckland.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between Walter Hill, of Christchurch, Stockbroker, Christopher Atkinson, of Christchurch, Merchant, Kenneth Seymour Cox, of Atiamuri, Farmer, and Andrew Ernest Kusabs, of Auckland, Timber Merchant, carrying on business under the name of “The Atiamuri Sawmilling Company,” Atiamuri, is hereby dissolved as from the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, as far as the said Andrew Ernest Kusabs is concerned.

The debts due to and by the Partnership will be paid to and discharged by the said Walter Hill, Christopher Atkinson, and Kenneth Seymour Cox, who are continuing to carry on the business under the same name, namely, “The Atiamuri Sawmilling Company.”

RESOLUTION.

THE following regulations were laid before the members of the Dannevirke Hunt Club at a meeting held on the 7th day of April, 1922, at Dannevirke, with a recommendation by the Chairman of the Club, Mr. Richard Roake, that the same be passed at once with a view to their approval by the Governor-General, in pursuance of the Gaming Act, 1908, section 33.

Mr. Richard Roake, the Chairman of the Club and the Meeting, moved, and Mr. J. Bayley A. Deane seconded, and it was resolved, that such regulations should be adopted, and that the Chairman be authorized to sign the same in authentication thereof.

The following are the regulations referred to:—

DANNEVIRKE HUNT CLUB.

REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)

In pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Dannevirke Hunt Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the said club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Tahoraiti Block situated in the district of Dannevirke, and known as the Dannevirke Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings.

  1. These regulations shall come into force on the date of the same being published in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meeting” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms respectively by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

  3. The following persons shall be and are hereby excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely:—
    (a.) Bookmakers.
    (b.) Bookmakers’ clerks, bookmakers’ assistants, and bookmakers’ agents.
    (c.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing or trotting club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference, or the New Zealand Trotting Association, or the New Zealand Trotting Conference.
    (d.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
    (e.) Professional tipsters, persons convicted of housebreaking or pocket-picking, forgery, uttering or possessing counterfeit coin, theft, false pretences, receiving stolen goods, mischief, assault, or any offence or crime of any kind under the Crimes Act, 1908, and also idle and disorderly persons, rogues and vagabonds, and incorrigible rogues convicted under the Police Offences Act, 1908, and persons convicted of an offence under the Gaming Act, 1908.

The foregoing regulations of the Dannevirke Hunt Club were made and passed by the Dannevirke Hunt Club on the 7th day of April, 1922, and signed by the Chairman and Secretary.
