Survey District; thence along the northern boundary of
said Section 39, the eastern boundaries of said Section 39 and
Sections 40, 41, and Subdivision 27 (railway reserve), Block
XII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence along the eastern
boundaries of Sections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20, Block XVI,
Kaupokonui Survey District, to the intersection of same with
the northern boundary of Section 30, Block XVI, Kaupoko-
nui Survey District; thence along the northern and eastern
boundaries of said Section 30 to its intersection with the
southern boundary of the said Eltham County; thence along
the southern boundary of the said Eltham County to the
Patea River; thence by the Patea River to the northern
boundary of the said Eltham County; thence along the
northern boundary of the said Eltham County to the point
of commencement.
(d.) The Eltham Borough (the boundaries of which are
set out in the New Zealand Gazette of 1901 at page 1958).
As the said areas are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 53940, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon bordered yellow, blue, brown, and
green respectively.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
PROPOSED OUTER AREAS.
ALL those areas of land, situated in the Land District of
Taranaki, comprising—
(a.) Those portions of the Inglewood County (the bound-
aries of which county have been defined as aforesaid) being,
first, all that portion of the county lying to the eastward of
the Waitara River, Subdivision 12, Block XIV, Waitara
Survey District, Mangaone, Tariki, and Ratapiko Roads to
the intersection of the Ratapiko Road with the southern
boundary of the said Inglewood County; and, secondly, all
that portion of the county comprising the Egmont National
Park and lying to the westward of the Egmont National
Park radius-line.
(b.) Those portions of the Stratford County (the boundaries
of which county have been defined as aforesaid) not com-
prised within the boundaries of the electric - power district
as described in paragraph (b) of the First Schedule above.
(c.) The Stratford Borough (the boundaries whereof were
defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 57, of the 28th July,
1898, at page 1192).
(d.) Those portions of the Eltham County (the boundaries
of which county have been defined as aforesaid) not com-
prised within the boundaries of the electric-power district
as described in paragraph (c) of the First Schedule above.
(e.) The Kaponga Town District (the boundaries whereof
are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of 1905 at page 1679).
(f.) The Whangamomona County (the boundaries whereof
are set out in the Whangamomona County Act, 1907, and
the ridings defined in Gazette No. 75, 8th October, 1903, page
2168, Gazette No. 24, 2nd April, 1908, page 1036, Gazette No.
26, 31st March, 1911, page 1192, and Gazette No. 14, 20th
February, 1913, page 609).
(g.) The Clifton County (the boundaries whereof are set
out in the following Gazettes: Gazette No. 37, 17th May, 1906,
page 1281, Gazette No. 26, 31st March, 1911, page 1192,
Gazette No. 65, 1st August, 1912, page 2379, and Gazette No.
42, 22nd May, 1913, page 1664; and by the Inglewood
County Act, 1919).
(h.) The Waitara Borough (the boundaries whereof were
defined in the following Gazettes: Gazette No. 73, 1st Septem-
ber, 1904, page 2123, Gazette No. 42, 22nd May, 1913, page
1664, and Gazette No. 66, 9th July, 1914, pages 2739 and
2740).
(i.) The Waimate West County (the boundaries whereof
are set out in the Waimate West County Act, 1908, and
which boundaries were redefined in the New Zealand Gazette
of 4th March, 1920, page 723, and also altered by the separa-
tion of the Manaia Town District from the said county as
defined in New Zealand Gazette of 13th July, 1911, page
2184).
(j.) The Manaia Town District (the boundaries whereof
are defined in New Zealand Gazette unnumbered of the year
1882 at page 764, and by New Zealand Gazette No. 57, 13th
July, 1911, page 2184).
(k.) The Hawera County (the boundaries whereof are set
out in the New Zealand Gazette of 27th January, 1916, pages
179 and 180).
(l.) The Hawera Borough (the boundaries whereof were
defined in the New Zealand Gazette unnumbered of the year
1882 at page 5).
(m.) The Normanby Town District (the boundaries whereof
are defined in the New Zealand Gazette unnumbered of the
year 1882 at page 449).
As the said areas are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 53940, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon bordered red.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, being the
Borough of Eltham and parts of the counties of Inglewood,
Stratford, and Eltham, bounded by a line commencing at
the intersection of the Egmont National Park boundary and
the Ngatoro Stream, and proceeding thence north-easterly
down that stream to and along Cambridge Road, along Dud-
ley Road and Windsor Road to Inglewood Borough, along the
south-western, south-eastern, and northern boundaries of
that borough as defined in the New Zealand Gazette, 1903,
page 726, to Wortley Road, along that road, Lincoln Road,
York Road, and Bristol Road to the Manganui Stream, down
that stream and up the Waitara River to the southern bound-
ary of Subdivision 12, Rimutauteka Block; thence westerly
along that boundary to Mangaone Road; thence along that
Road, the Junction Road, Tariki Road, Ratapiko Road,
Makara Road, Stanley Road, Makuri Road, Douglas Road,
Ohura Road, New Road, Toko Road, and Mangaehu Road
to Mangaehu Stream, down that stream and the Patea River
to the southern boundary of the Eltham County as described
in the New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page 2514; thence westerly
along that boundary to Section 30, Block XVI, Kaupokonui
Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern and
northern boundaries of that section and along the eastern
boundaries of Sections 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and 15, said Block
XVI, across a railway reserve and along the eastern boundaries
of Sections 41, 40, 39, 28, 17, 7, and 6, Block XII, along the
eastern and northern boundaries of Section 35, the eastern
and northern boundaries of Section 31, the northern and
western boundaries of Section 29, all in Block VIII, the
eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 36,
the western boundary of Section 35, the southern, western,
and northern boundaries of Section 29, the western bound-
aries of Sections 25 and 24, along the northern boundary of
Section 19, all in Block VII, Kaupokonui Survey District, to
the Manaia Road, and along that road to the Egmont National
Park; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of that
park to the Ngatoro Stream, the point of commencement;
excluding therefrom the Borough of Stratford as defined in
the New Zealand Gazette, 1898, page 1192. As the said area
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
54346, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
bordered blue.
FOURTH SCHEDULE.
OUTER AREA OF TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, being parts of
the counties of Inglewood, Stratford, and Eltham, bounded
by a line commencing at the summit of Mount Egmont and
proceeding thence northerly along a right line to the source
of the Waiwakaiho River, and down that river to the boundary
of the Egmont National Park; thence easterly and southerly
generally along that boundary and the boundary of the
Taranaki Electric-power District described in the Third
Schedule above to the southern boundary of the Eltham
County as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page
2514; thence westerly and northerly along the boundaries of
the said Eltham County to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, being the
counties of Clifton and Whangamomona, parts of the counties
of Inglewood, Stratford, and Eltham, and the Borough of
Waitara, bounded by a line commencing at the mouth of the
Waitara River, and proceeding thence north-easterly along
the sea-coast to the Mokau River; thence along the northern
and eastern boundaries of the Clifton County as described in
the New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page 629, to and along the
northern and eastern boundaries of the Whangamomona
County as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1922, page
230, along the eastern and southern boundaries of the Strat-
ford County as described in the Inglewood County Act, 1919,
and along the eastern and southern boundaries of the Eltham
County as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1917, page
2514, to the Patea River; thence northerly along the eastern
boundary of the Taranaki Electric-power District described
in the Third Schedule above to the confluence of the Manga-
nui Stream with the Waitara River; thence down the Waitara
River to the Waitara Borough as described in the New Zea-
land Gazette, 1914, page 2739, and along the southern, western,
and northern boundaries of that borough to the Waitara
River; thence down the said Waitara River to its mouth,
the place of commencement.
Also all that area in the Taranaki Land District, being
the Borough of Stratford as described in the New Zealand
Gazette, 1898, page 1192.
As the said areas are more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 54346, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington
Land District, and thereon bordered yellow, with the excep-
tion of the boroughs of Waitara and Stratford, which are
coloured yellow.
