which said pieces of land firstly, secondly, thirdly, and fourthly described above are shown on a plan lodged in the Survey Office at Auckland under Number 21931 (blue), and thereon edged respectively yellow, purple, blue, and red.

A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Ponsonby, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the erection of a public school on the said land, or to the taking of such land, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Williamson’s Chambers, Shortland Street, Auckland.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

I, MORTIMER PHILIP REDDINGTON, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of the University of New Zealand, now residing in Wanganui, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 6th of May, 1922, next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

MANGAPAPA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mangapapa Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £320, authorized to be raised to complete the construction of the Upper Stout Street bridge and approaches across the Mangapapa Stream, Oswald Street bridge and approaches, and Massey Street bridge and approaches, being an additional ten (10) per centum of the original loan of £3,220, the said Mangapapa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (1/32nd of 1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mangapapa Town District as at present constituted; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first days of September and March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Counties Act, 1920, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalment in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Counties Act, 1920, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting a worker’s dwelling thereon, the Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-ninetieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off. 372

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford County Council Road Improvements (North Riding) Loan of £12,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of effecting road improvements and in purchasing machinery for the whole of the portion of the North Riding of the County of Stratford lying east of the Mountain Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the portion of the North Riding of the said county lying east of the Mountain Road; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off. 373

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Stratford County Council Road Improvements (South Riding) Loan of £21,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of effecting road improvements in and purchasing machinery for the South Riding of the Stratford County, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the South Riding of the said county; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off. 374
