WAIKATO RIVER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikato River Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”) resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a special loan of eight hundred pounds at five per centum, and one per centum sinking fund, for a term of thirty-six and one-half years, authorized to be raised by section 85 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies’ Empowering Act, 1921–1922, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the moneys partly advanced from the said Board’s General Account and partly advanced to the said Board temporarily by three rate-payers of the Koheroa Subdivision of the Waikato River District, to liquidate the cost of certain works carried out for the purpose of improving the course of the Maungatawhiri Creek, the said Waikato River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound A Class, three-farthings in the pound B Class, and one halfpenny in the pound C Class upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Koheroa Subdivision of the Waikato River District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the district of Auckland intends to erect a public school, and to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a public school certain lands situated in the Parish of Waitemata and County of Eden, being portions of a subdivision by one Joseph Scott of the lands included in certain deeds of conveyance registered in the Deeds Register Office at Auckland under Numbers 32612 and 32321, which said lands are portions of Allotments 29 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland, and are more particularly described as follows, namely :—
(1.) All that piece of land, containing by admeasurement 14·2 perches, more or less, being Lot 49 of the said subdivision ;
- All that piece of land, containing by admeasurement 15·3 perches, more or less, being Lot 57 of the said subdivision ;
(3.) All that piece of land, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 3·8 perches, more or less, being Lots 59, 60, and 61 of the said subdivision ;
(4.) All that piece of land, containing 2 acres 2 roods 9·3 perches, more or less, comprising Lots 46, 47, 48, 50 to 56 inclusive, a strip of land 60·6 links wide lying to the north and north-west of the said lots, and Lots 58 and 62 to 72 inclusive of the said subdivision ;
