Declaring Portions of Roads in Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District, to be Government Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.

Foxton Fire District constituted.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section four of the Fire Brigades Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may by Order in Council, on the application of any Borough Council, declare the district within the jurisdiction of such Borough Council to be a fire district under the said Act:
And whereas an application has been made by the Foxton Borough Council in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, and it appears expedient to grant the said application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare the Borough of Foxton to be a fire district under the said Act.

Licensing Authorities appointed under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section nine of the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint the several local authorities specified in the Schedule hereto to be licensing authorities for the purposes of the said Act within their respective districts.

Partial Revocation of Order in Council prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of March, 1922.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto, but only in so far as it affects the lands mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PART I.
ORDER in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 22nd day of December, 1921, affecting the various subdivisions of Waituhi-Kuratau Block.
PART II.
Waituhi-Kuratau 2B Block, containing 1,500 acres, more or less, situated in Puketapu and Maungaku Survey Districts.

Validating the Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £1,550 proposed to be raised by the Council of the County of Waipa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 1st day of May, 1922.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Waipa County Council, acting under and in pursuance of paragraph (e) of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, proposes to raise a loan of one thousand five hundred and fifty pounds for the purpose of forming and metalling portions of Tawa Road and Mahoe Street:
And whereas the ratepayers’ consent given under paragraph (e) of section sixteen aforesaid is irregular, in that a subscribing ratepayer has attested the signatures of the other subscribers thereto:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the ratepayers’ consent to the raising of the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the same had been properly witnessed, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.
