Revoking Warrant declaring a Sanctuary for Imported and Native Game.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section six of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921-22, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Warrant made on the seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and gazetted on the twentieth day of the same month, declaring the area described in the Schedule thereto, being part of the bed of the Tukituki River, to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the Animals Protection Act, 1908.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 24th day of April, 1922.

Setting apart Crown Land under Section 20 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.
SECTION 12, Block VIII, Opoe Survey District: Area, 42 acres 3 roods 20 perches.

Opening National-endowment Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national-endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Otamatea County.—Tokatoka Survey District.
SECTION 13, Block XII : Area, 67 acres 2 roods 30 perches ; capital value, £1,600; half-yearly rent, £32.
This is the remaining Crown section on the well-known Tokatoka Swamp. The land is mainly worked-out kahikatea bush swamp, with a strip of cabbage-tree land along the southern boundary. Artesian bores have been put down on many of the surrounding sections with satisfactory results. Access is by formed road from either Naumai or Ruawai on the Wairoa River.
Waitemata County.—Paremoreremo Parish.
Section 267: Area, 34 acres 1 rood; capital value, £150; half-yearly rent £3.
Altitude, about 60 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level. Undulating country, covered with manuka scrub. All ploughable. Soil brown loam of fair quality, on clay subsoil; well watered by stream. Distant about two miles and a half from Albany by formed cart-road.
Section 269: Area, 33 acres; capital value, £125; half-yearly rent, £2 10s.
Section 270: Area, 38 acres; capital value, £140; half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Altitude, 50 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, covered with light manuka. Three-quarters of each area ploughable. Brown soil, fair to medium in quality, on clay subsoil. Poorly watered by small stream. Distant about two miles and a half from Albany by formed road.
Section 274: Area, 40 acres 1 rood 38 perches; capital value, £140; half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Altitude, 50 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Undulating land, nearly all ploughable, covered with high fern and manuka. Soil brown loam of medium quality, on clay subsoil; poorly watered. Distant about two miles from Albany by good unmetalled cart-road.
Section 280: Area, 52 acres 3 roods; capital value, £130; half-yearly rent, £2 12s.
Section 281: Area, 74 acres 1 rood 18 perches; capital value, £190; half-yearly rent, £3 16s.
Altitude, 100 ft. to 250 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken country, about one-half ploughable, covered with light manuka and fern. Soil brown loam of medium quality, on clay subsoil; poorly watered. Distant about three miles from Albany by good cart-road not metalled.
Section 284: Area, 78 acres 1 rood 24 perches; capital value £200; half-yearly rent, £4.
Altitude, 60 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Undulating to broken fern and manuka country, about half ploughable. Soil brown loam of medium quality, on clay subsoil; fairly watered by small stream. Distant about three miles from Albany by formed unmetalled cart-road.
Section 286: Area, 87 acres 2 roods 14 perches; capital value, £350; half-yearly rent, £7.
Altitude, 40 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level. Undulating fern and manuka country, three-quarters ploughable. Soil brown loam of medium quality, on clay subsoil; poorly watered by swampy gullies which may dry in summertime. Distant about two miles and a half from Riverhead by formed cart-road not metalled.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and amendments, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the settlement lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
West Taupo County.—Part Pukemapou Settlement.
SECTION 1: Area, 70 acres; capital value, £2,010; half-yearly rent on lease, £45 4s. 6d.
Section 3: Area, 70 acres; capital value, £2,030; half-yearly rent on lease, £45 13s. 6d.
Section 11: Area, 145 acres 1rood; capital value, £1,330; half-yearly rent on lease, £29 18s. 6d.
Section 12: Area, 146 acres 1 rood; capital value, £1,350; half-yearly rent, £30 7s. 6d.
Pukemapou Settlement is situated about fifteen miles south-eastward from Te Awamutu by road formed practically to the boundary of the settlement. Otorohanga is situated about eleven miles westward from the settlement, and provision has been made to secure a connection between the road passing through the block and the Otorohanga-Maihiihi Road, along which a mail-coach passes twice weekly and a cream-cart thrice weekly.
The sections now being offered comprise level to undulating land with portions of good flax and raupo swamp. Soil a good dark loam, mostly well watered, while additional supplies can probably be readily obtained by sinking where required.
Sections 1 and 3 are in good pasture. Sections 11 and 12 contain a proportion of good flax and raupo swamp capable of being drained, with patches of dry land in fern and manuka-scrub, together with an area in good pasture along the road frontage on both sections. The boundary fences of the settlement are principally rabbit-proof, and the internal fences are post-and-wire, generally in good condition.
The improvements which are included in the capital values are:
