Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.

Shooting Season for Native Game, License Fee, &c., Southland Acclimatization District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following native game—viz., grey duck, shoveller, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Southland Acclimatization District, consisting of so much of the County of Southland as lies to the westward of the Mataura River, together with the Counties of Fiord, Wallace, and Stewart Island (except in the areas mentioned in the Schedule hereto), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, both days inclusive.

And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of ten shillings (10s.) each; and the secretary of the Southland Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.

And I do hereby restrict the number of such native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all.

Nothing in any license to take or kill native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain, or on any land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

ADDITIONAL AREAS WHEREIN NATIVE GAME MAY NOT BE TAKEN OR KILLED.

  1. SECTION 27, Block IV, Invercargill Hundred.
  2. Sections 19, 20, 32, 37, 43, and parts 9 and 11, Block IV, Campbelltown Hundred (Mr. Thomas Maclean’s property).
  3. Sections 2 and 3, Block VI, Lillburn Survey District, containing about 2,429 acres (Mr. Arthur Struan Gardner’s property).

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., cock pheasants, Californian quail, black teal, grey duck, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Stratford Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Stratford and Whangamomona and the Borough of Stratford, from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Postmasters at Stratford, Toko, Midhurst, Whangamomona, Ngaere, and Te Wera are hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses.

And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twelve cock pheasants and twenty-five head in all of black teal, grey duck, and black swan.

Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, I, William Downie Stewart, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the following imported game and native game—viz., cock pheasants, Californian quail, Australian quail, grey duck, and black swan—may be taken or killed within the Taranaki Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Taranaki, Clifton, and the County of Egmont (excepting Oeo Riding), from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two (both days inclusive). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the secretary of the said Taranaki Acclimatization Society, or any person authorized by such secretary in that behalf, is hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses. And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than six cock pheasants, six Australian quail, six grey duck, and twenty black swan.

Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.

And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such imported game and native game within the said district will be issued to any person on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each; and the Postmasters at Tauranga, Katikati, Paengaroa, and Te Puke are hereby authorized to sign and issue the said licenses. And I do hereby restrict the number of such imported game and native game that may be taken or killed by any one person in any one day to not more than twenty-five head in all of grey duck and black swan.

Nothing in any license to take or kill imported game and native game shall authorize the holder thereof to take or kill imported game and native game on lands actually and exclusively used by any registered acclimatization society for acclimatization purposes, or on any sanctuary or public domain.
