County Council. Kahuterawa Road Loan of £650, 1921, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of remaking the Kahuterawa Road, Fitzherbert West, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-twentieths (11/20ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Kahuterawa Road Special Rating Area, such special rating area commencing at the north-east corner of Section 306, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction by the eastern boundaries of the said Section 306 and Sections 307, 308, 309, 311, and 312, and Sections 313 and 314, of Block VIII, Arawaru Survey District, and for a distance of 20 chains along the eastern boundary of Section 315 to junction with original county boundary; thence in a north-westerly direction by said county boundary to point of junction with west boundary of Section 317, 38 chains distance from junction of said boundary with Kahuterawa Road; thence in a north-westerly direction by said section boundary and across said road, and by south-eastern boundary of Section 322, Block VI, Arawaru Survey District; thence by north-western boundary of said section and Sections 323 and 324; thence in a northerly direction by north-west boundaries of Sections 325, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, 331, 332, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District; thence by north boundary of Section 284, Block III, Arawaru Survey District; thence in a southerly direction by eastern boundary of said Section 284 and Section 305 to junction of north-west boundary of Section 306, Block VII, Arawaru Survey District; thence in an easterly direction by north boundary of Section 306 to point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Palmerston North Borough Loans Consolidation Act, 1921, the Palmerston North Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a consolidated loan of one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North Borough Council, under the Palmerston North Borough Council Loans Consolidation Act, 1921, for the purpose of the undertakings specified in the Schedule hereto, the said Palmerston North Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence (3d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all property of the Borough of Palmerston North, comprising the whole of the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.—MOTU VALLEY LOAN, £16,900.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,900, authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for re-erecting Mortleman’s Bridge and metalling and widening portion of Motu Valley Road, including the junction to Koranga and junction to Moanui branches, the said Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-third pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Motu Valley Loan Special Rating Area, comprising all the land included within the boundaries set out in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at the southernmost point of Lot 5 of Sec. 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence bounded on the S.E. by the S.E. boundary of the said Sec. 5 to its intersection with the Koranga Stream; thence following the Koranga Stream to the westernmost point of the Forest Reserve Section 3 of II, Ngatapa S.D.; thence bounded on the S.E., S., and E. by the N.W. and N. boundary of the said Sec. 3 and the W. boundary of Sec. 1 of II, Ngatapa, to the S.W. boundary of Sec. 2 of XIV, Motu; thence on the N.E. and S.E. by the S.W. and N.W. boundary of the said Sec. 2 of XIV, Motu; thence on the N.E. by the N.E. boundary of Sec. 8 of X, Motu, to a point approximately 130 chains from the most easterly point of the said Sec. 8 of X, Motu; thence at a right angle by an airline connecting with a point on the S.W. boundary of Lot 4 of Sec. 1 of X, Motu, situated about 10 chains from the southernmost point of the said Lot 4; thence bounded on the S.W. and S.E. by the S.W. and S.E. boundaries of the said Lot 4 to the southernmost corner of Lot 1 of Sec. 1 of X, Motu; thence by an airline to the southernmost corner of Lot 17 of Block V of Matawai Township; thence bounded on the N.E. by the N.E. boundary of Lot 1 of Sec. 1 of X, Motu, to the Motu River; thence by the Motu River to the N.E. end of the N. boundary of Sec. 2 of X, Motu; thence bounded on the N. and E. by the S. and W. boundaries of Sec. 5 of VI, Motu; thence on the N. by the S. boundary of Sec. 7 of VI, Motu, to the county boundary; thence on the N.W. by the county boundary to the westernmost point of Sec. 2 of XII, Moanui; thence on the S.W. by the S.W. boundary of Sec. 1 of XII, Moanui (forest reserve), to a point approximately halfway along the said S.W. boundary of the forest reserve; thence by airline in a S.W. direction to a point on the Koranga River situated approximately 100 chains from the most westerly point of the N.W. boundary of S.G.R. 89; thence by the Koranga River to the Moanui Road for a distance of 40 chains; thence bounded on the S.W. by an airline to a point on the W. boundary of S.G.R. 91 situated approximately 60 chains from the most southerly point of the said boundary of S.G.R. 91; thence on the W. by the W. boundary of S.G.R. 91 to the Koranga River; thence by the Koranga River to the most northerly point of Lot 2 of Sec. 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence on the N.W. by the N.W. boundary of the said Lot 2 of Sec. 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence on the S.W. boundary of the said Lot 2 of Sec. 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence on the S.W. by the S.W. boundaries of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Sec. 2, Tahora 2c 3, to the point of commencement.

BOROUGH OF TAUMARUNUI.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for roadmaking machinery, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-tenths (7/10) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Taumarunui; and that
