Government Orders and Appointments




His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend,
in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto, the regulations
under the said Act made on the twentieth day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second day of August,
one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

SCHEDULE.
The said regulations are hereby amended by adding to clause
27 thereof the following proviso :—
Provided that in any case where two or more discharged
soldiers have acquired such land as tenants in common prior
to the 19th day of September, 1921, advances may be made
to them jointly to the aggregate amount that they would have
been entitled to obtain individually.

Apportionment of Representation on the Horowhenua
Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
January, 1922.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby determine with respect to the
Horowhenua Electric-power District, being an electric-power
district duly constituted by Proclamation dated the twenty-
ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 100, of the first day of December, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-one, that the number of representatives
of each constituent district on the Board of the said district
shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite
the name of that constituent district.

SCHEDULE.
CONSTITUENT districts—
Foxton Borough : One member.
Levin Borough : One member.
Shannon Borough : One member.
Otaki Borough : One member.
Horowhenua County : Three members.
Portion of Hutt County : One member.
Portion of Manawatu County : One member.

conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby con-
sent to the Wairoa County Council stopping the portions of
road described in the Schedule hereto.

XVII, 1 to 20, Block XVIII, 1 to 23, Block XIX, 1 to 6,

with a closed street originally known as Corsewall Street,
Town of Lawrence. Bounded towards the north by Stranran
Street, 2050 links ; towards the east by part of Section
No. 11, Block XIV, 100 links ; towards the south by Section
No. 9, Block XIV, 250 links ; again towards the east by said
Section No. 9, 100 links ; again towards the north by said
Section No. 9, 250 links ; again towards the east by part of

400 links.
Also all that area of land in the Otago Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 3 roods 5 perches, more or less,
situated in the Town of Lawrence. Bounded towards the
north by Rea Street, 207 links ; towards the east by Lan-
caster Street, 500 links ; towards the south by Canna Street,
106 links ; and towards the south-west by Peel Street, 511
links.
Also all that area of land in the Otago Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 roods 35 perches, more or less,
situate in the Town of Lawrence. Bounded towards the
north by Thurso Street, 253.9 links ; towards the east by
Burrow Street, 567.4 links ; and towards the south-west by
Gabriel Street, 622.4 links.
Also all that area of land in the Otago Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, situated in
the Town of Lawrence. Bounded towards the north by
Harrington Street, 154.9 links ; towards the east by Sandy
Street, 339.9 links ; and towards the south-west by Gabrie
Street, 372.9 links.
Also all that area of land in the Otago Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 65 acres 2 roods 13 perches, more.
