Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Board of the Ellerslie Town District, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

ELLERSLIE TOWN BOARD.

Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Ellerslie Town District taken on the 14th day of December, 1921, on the proposal of the Ellerslie Town Board to borrow a sum not exceeding £2,000 for the purpose of the equipment of the volunteer fire brigade, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 168, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 28 ; informal, 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Date of Election by Fire-insurance Companies to fill Two Extraordinary Vacancies on Wanganui Fire Board.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and the rules made thereunder, I, William Downie Stewart, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Friday, the 20th January, 1922, to be the date for holding the election of two members of the Wanganui Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancies caused by the resignations of Messrs. W. E. A. Gill and Gordon Reid.

G. Powles, C.M.G., D.S.O., as Aide-de-Camp to His Majesty in succession to Major-General Sir Edward Chaytor, K.C.M.G., with effect from the 25th August, 1921.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 10 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, do hereby specify that the Combined District of Auckland comprises the City of Auckland, the boroughs of Birkenhead, Devonport, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Newmarket, Northcote, Onehunga, and Takapuna, and the town districts of Ellerslie, Glen Eden, and New Lynn.
