subject to the condition that no building or part of a
building shall at any time be erected on the eastern side of
the portion of Norway Street described in the Schedule hereto
within a distance of thirty feet from the centre-line of the
said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land
District, City of Wellington, known as Norway Street, abutting
on Lot 23, D.P. 995. As the said portion of street is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 52702,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

License authorizing the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board
to erect Electric Lines in the Banks Peninsula Electric-power
District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of
October, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth—subject to the provisions
of section fifty-eight of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918,
and the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to
the regulations made under section two of the first-mentioned
Act, and dated the twenty-second day of September, one
thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of the same
month, or any regulations hereafter made in amendment
thereof or in substitution therefor (and hereinafter collectively referred to as “the regulations”), and which regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein—hereby authorize the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes within the area of supply hereinafter described, such electric lines at present proposed to be erected being indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 51024, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District.
SCHEDULE.

AREA OF SUPPLY.
THE area of supply comprises Banks Peninsula Electric-power
District, duly constituted by Proclamation dated the 20th
day of December, 1919, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 1 of 8th January, 1920. -
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
Electrical energy shall be received in bulk from the Lake
Coleridge supply. This 11,000-volt supply shall be stepped
up at Stoddart’s Corner substation to 33,000 volts by transformers for transmission and distribution in accordance with clause 3 (e) of the regulations, the licensee taking delivery of same at Motukarara. -
DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in
clause 15 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be
taken as 20 degrees Fahrenheit. -
DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance
with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force
for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon
the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination
of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby
granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine;
but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the
licensee of any liability therebefore incurred under this
license. -
CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.
The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per
unit for lighting and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating,
or cooking purposes; provided that “lighting purposes” shall
include the operation of motor-generators for lighting purposes; and provided further that if accounts are paid within
fourteen days after due date the charges shall not exceed 10d.
per unit for lighting purposes and 5d. per unit for motor-power, cooking, or heating purposes. -
VARIATION IN CONDITIONS OF LICENSE.
The terms and conditions of this license may at any time
or from time to time, at the request or with the consent in
writing of the licensee, be altered by the Governor-General by Order in Council. -
REQUIREMENTS OF AKAROA, WAIREWA, AND MOUNT HERBERT COUNTY COUNCILS.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, the
licensee shall not be entitled to erect, maintain, or use any
electric lines within the Akaroa, Wairewa, and Mount Herbert County Councils, except subject to such conditions, not inconsistent with the provisions of this license and the regulations relating thereto, or any variation of this license or the regulations, or new regulations which may take the place of these regulations, as may from time to time be agreed upon between the licensee and each of the said County Councils. -
BARE WIRES.
Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained, no bare wires shall be erected unless and until the consent of the Minister has first been obtained in accordance with the regulations.

Partial Revocation of an Order in Council prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of October, 1921.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that any Order in Council made under that section may at any time be varied or revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council referred to in Part I of the Schedule hereto, but only in so far as it affects the land mentioned in Part II of the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
PART I.
Order in Council under section 363 of the Native Land Act, 1909, dated the 21st day of April, 1921, and gazetted the 5th day of May, 1921, affecting Maraeroa A 3B No. 1 and A 3B No. 2 Blocks.
PART II.
Maraeroa A 3B No. 2, containing by admeasurement 1,981 acres 0 roods 29 perches, and situated in the Ranginui Survey District.

WHEREAS section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, provides that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, at a specified rate of interest, or for a specified term exceeding ten years, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such
