WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—WAIRUA RIDING RATING AREA.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a workman’s dwelling in the Riding of Wairua in the County of Whangarei, the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of 1/30 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Wairua Riding, such riding being a legal subdivision of the said County of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a workman’s dwelling in the Riding of Mangakahia in the County of Whangarei, the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Mangakahia Riding, such riding being a legal subdivision of the said County of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIROA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Wairoa Electric-power Board’s loan of £100,000, authorized to be raised by the Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of the erection of electric transmission-lines between Waikaremoana and Wairoa, with substations, electrical equipment, and fittings in connection therewith, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen-fortieths (19/40ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Power Board Area, comprising the County of Wairoa and the Borough of Wairoa as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said area, appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 29th day of July, 1920, at page 2257; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 5 of the Water-supply Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that the Waimate County Council has duly appointed the following to be members of the Waihao Water-race Managing Ratepayers Committee, and that it has conferred on such Committee all the powers of management it possesses in respect of all water-races supplying the Lower Waihao Water-supply District, viz.:—

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Auckland) that I, the undersigned LEONARD REGINALD HELMBRIGHT, of Waikawa, near Opotiki, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Station Hand, and sometimes called Leo Reginald Helmbracht, do hereby absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said name of Leo Reginald Helmbracht, and in lieu thereof assume and adopt the name of Leonard Reginald Helmbright, and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all records, deeds, and documents and other writings, and in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said name of Leonard Reginald Helmbright as my name in lieu of the name of Leo Reginald Helmbracht so abandoned as aforesaid, and I therefore expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me by such adopted name of LEONARD REGINALD HELMBRIGHT only.
