WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN BLOCK X, RARETE SURVEY DISTRICT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FORMATION OF A ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of the formation of a road. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of the said land or to the execution of the proposed works, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of pieces of land required to be taken, 3 roods and 19 poles, being that part of Lot 9, Block X, Rarete Survey District, in the Wellington Land District, containing 2 roods and 24·6 poles; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 1570, deposited in the office of the Waimarino County Council at Raetihi, and thereon coloured red. And being also that part of Lot 8, Block X, Rarete Survey District aforesaid, containing 34·4 poles; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited as aforesaid, and thereon coloured blue.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—REDOUBT ROAD SPECIAL LOAN OF £1,250.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by subsection (e) of section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Manukau County Council Redoubt Road Loan of £1,250, 1921, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling portion of the Redoubt Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and a third of a penny (1 and 1/3rd) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Redoubt Road Special Rating Area of the County of Manukau, bounded as follows,——
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,014 acres, more or less, being portion of Clendon’s Grant, bounded, commencing at the north-western corner of Allotment 94, Parish of Manurewa, towards the east by the north-western boundary of the said Allotment 94 and portion of Clendon’s Grant, 201 acres 1 rood 15 perches, as delineated on the plan No. 515 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland and thereon bordered green: towards the south generally by portions of the said Clendon’s Grant, 54 acres and 93 acres, as delineated on the plan numbered 17883 at the Department of Lands and Survey at Auckland and thereon bordered red; 100 acres, 188 acres, as delineated on the plan numbered 3825 deposited as aforesaid and thereon bordered green; 231 acres 0 roods 26·7 perches, as delineated on the plan numbered 6594 deposited as aforesaid and thereon bordered green: by portions of said Clendon’s Grant, 74 acres 1 rood; towards the west by portion of said Clendon’s Grant, 60 acres, by a right line through the aforesaid grant, as delineated on the plans numbered 6964 and 9031 deposited as aforesaid and thereon bordered green; and towards the north generally by other portions of the aforesaid Clendon’s Grant, as
delineated on the plan numbered 9591 deposited as aforesaid and thereon bordered green, the crossing of a public road, and by the southern boundaries of Allotments 152, 151, 150, 149, 148, 147, 146, and 92 and the western boundary of the said Allotment 92, and the southern boundary of Allotment 91, all of the aforesaid parish, to the place of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—MOUMOUKAI HILL ROAD SPECIAL LOAN OF £2,000.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by subsection (e) of section 16 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Manukau County Council Moumoukai Hill Road Loan of £2,000, 1921, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of forming and metalling Moumoukai Hill Road, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and seven-eighths of a penny (1 and 7/8ths) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Moumoukai Hill Road Special Rating Area, bounded as follows,——
All that area of land in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,952 acres, more or less, bounded, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 6, Block IX, Orere Survey District, towards the north by the southern boundaries of the said Section 6, Sections 7 and 11, of the said Block IX; towards the north-east by the western and southern boundaries of part Kiripaka Block, the southern boundaries of Orere and Taupo Blocks and Tapapakanga No. 1B Block, by the south-western boundary of Wharekawa No. 4c 3c Blocks; towards the east and south-east by Wharekawa No. 4c 3A, north-western corner of Wharekawa No. 4c 2, the north-western boundary of Wharekawa No. 4c 1 Block; towards the south generally by Allotment 100, Parish of Otau, the crossing of a public road, by Allotments 97A and 97, the crossing of a public road, and Allotment 89 of the said parish; and towards the north-west by the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 85, 84, and 82 of the aforesaid parish, and Section 4 of the aforesaid Block IX, Orere Survey District, to the place of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of April and October during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £900 (10 PER CENT. ADDITIONAL) FOR PURCHASE OF MACHINERY.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and being an additional 10 per cent. on the amount of the original loan of £9,000 raised for the purchase of road-making machinery, plant and tools, and the erection of buildings for accommodating plant, the Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/100 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in the County of Manukau; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
