And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following resolutions were passed at an extraordinary general meeting (special) of shareholders in the HAWKE’S BAY DAIRY COMPANY (LIMITED) on Monday, 15th August, 1921, and confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting held on 22nd August, 1921 :—

“That the Hawke’s Bay Dairy Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up.

“That CYRIL ROBERT BEATTIE be appointed the Liquidator.”

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

WIRI STATION ROAD LOAN, £2,000.—RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of widening and metalling the road to the Wiri Station in the Papatoetoe Riding of the county, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths of a penny (11/16d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Wiri Station Road Special Rating Area, being all that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 1,062 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, being portion of Clendon’s Grant, situated in Papakura Parish, as set out in Schedule hereto,—

Commencing at the north-western corner of Lot 4 on plan numbered 9254 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, bounded towards the east by the aforesaid Lot 4 to a public road, by a right line across the said road, and again towards the east by portion of Clendon’s Grant to the south-eastern corner of Eliza Castle’s property, in the year 1920, containing 12 acres ; thence towards the south by the aforesaid grant to the northernmost corner of W. G. McLarnon’s property, in the year 1920, containing 15 acres ; thence towards the east by a line forming the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned property to a creek ; thence towards the north and west generally by other part of W. G. McLarnon’s property, containing 7 acres and 16 perches, and by part of Clendon’s Grant to the northernmost corner of W. N. Grant’s property, in the year 1920, containing 65 acres ; thence towards the north-east and south-east by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the last-mentioned property to the northernmost corner of F. and M. Cork’s property, in the year 1920, containing 25 acres ; thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of that property to the north-western boundary of Robert Hall’s property, in the year 1920, containing 60 acres ; towards the north-west and east by a line forming the western boundary of the last-mentioned property to Deep Creek ; thence towards the south generally by Deep Creek to and across a public road, and again towards the south by Deep Creek to the westernmost corner of New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company’s property, in the year 1920, containing 2 acres ; thence towards the south-west by a right line intercepting W. C. Martin’s property, in the year 1920, containing 82 acres 3 roods, to the south-western corner of William Kerr’s property, in the year 1920, containing 29 acres 3 roods ; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned property to its north-western corner ; thence towards the south by the southern boundary of Mrs. M. E. Brown’s property, in the year 1920, containing 100 acres, to the south-eastern corner of Arthur Holmes’s property, in the year 1920, containing 59 acres 2 roods 3 perches ; thence towards the south by the southern boundary of the last-mentioned property to the North Island Main Trunk Railway ; thence towards the west generally by the aforesaid railway to its interception with Deep Creek ; thence towards the north-west and east generally by Deep Creek to and across a public road, and again by the said creek to the north-western boundary of Alexander Orr’s property, in the year 1920, containing 77 acres 1 rood 30 perches : thence towards the north-west by a line forming the northern boundary of the last-mentioned property to a public road, by a right line across the said road to the south-western corner of Lot 1 on plan numbered 5201 deposited as aforesaid ; thence towards the north-west by the said Lot 1 to the north-eastern corner of William Blewitt’s property, in the year 1920, containing 25 acres ; thence towards the east by the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned property to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of the principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,300, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of deviating, forming, and regrading portions of the Whitford—Maraetai Road, in the Turanga Riding of the County, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes and and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Maraetai Road Special Rating Area, being all that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 6,854 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north and north-east by the sea ; towards the east generally by Maraetai and Papepape Blocks from the sea to the northern boundary of Wairoa Parish ; thence by that parish to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 72, Maraetai Parish ; thence towards the south-west by the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 46 and 34, Maraetai Parish, to the Waikopua Creek ; and thence towards the west generally by the said Waikopua Creek and the sea. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
