In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of BLUNDELL AND BROWN (LIMITED), a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1908, having its registered office at Wanganui.

NOTICE is hereby given that on Saturday, the twenty-fourth September, 1921, an extraordinary resolution was passed by the members of the company to the effect that the company should be wound up voluntarily as from the date thereof, and the undersigned was appointed Liquidator.

BOROUGH OF PICTON.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Picton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,000, authorized to be raised by the Picton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing a sewerage system in the No. 2 Special Drainage Area, being the east and west portions of the town, the said Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence halfpenny (2½d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the said No. 2 Special Drainage Area of the Borough of Picton, bounded as follows,—

Commencing at the north-easternmost corner of Section 9 Sub. (Town Belt), Linkwater Survey District; thence by Secs. 1069, 1068, 1067, 1066, 1065, 1064, 1063, 1062, 1061, 1060, 1058, 1057, 1056, 1055, 1054, 1053, 1052, 1051, 73 to 82, 84/91, 159 to 168, 170/172, 1141, 1148, 5 and 6 of 7 Sub., parts of 7 Sub., 25 Sub., Sections 462/464, 459, 451, 441, 426, 422, 405, 752, 759, 1134; thence bounded by the railway to Section 982; thence by Sections 985, 983, 981, 979, 977, 975, 16 Sub., West Terrace, Secs. 871, 868, 867, 866, 865, 864, 863, 862, 861, Sub. 26, Secs. 583, 582, 581, part 580; thence by boundary of Cemetery Reserve, part 573, 572, 571, 570, 569, part 4 Sub.; thence by Shakespeare Road, Dublin Street, to the southernmost portion of Sec. 199; thence by Picton Harbour to Sec. 1132; then by Secs. 24/30, 1001/1009, 1111/1118, 1120; thence to the northern point of Section 8 Sub., and bounded by the Town Belt; thence along the Town Belt to the north-eastern corner of the same: and excepting thereout all that portion being No. 1 Drainage Area as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 77, dated 23rd September, 1909, page 2405.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April, 1921, in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL ROADING RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £11,250, authorized to be raised by the Paeroa Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for street and footpath formation and improvements, and storm-water drainage, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Taumarunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £2,600, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing and installing a water-filtration plant, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (27/100d.) in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £32,000, authorized to be raised by the Taumarunui Borough Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of street improvements, the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence and nine twenty-fifths of a penny (3d. and 9/25d.) in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Taumarunui; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

In the matter of THE PATEA FARMERS’ TRADING ASSOCIATION (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at Patea on the 4th day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 30th day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, the same resolution was duly confirmed, as a special resolution, namely:—

“That the company be would up voluntarily; and that F. S. McKENNA, of Patea, Agent, be appointed Liquidator for such winding-up.”

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has for some time past been carried on by DAVID GEORGE FLEMING, WILLIAM EDWARD FLEMING, and ERNEST BENJAMIN FLEMING, under the style of “G. Fleming and Sons,” in the City of Nelson, in the business of Cabinetmakers, Upholsterers, House-furnishers, and Undertakers, was this day dissolved by mutual consent.

The business will henceforth be carried on by the said WILLIAM EDWARD FLEMING and ERNEST BENJAMIN FLEMING under the style of “G. Fleming and Sons,” to whom all debts owing to the late firm are payable, and by whom all debts owing by the late firm will be discharged.
