NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HENRY AUGUSTUS JULL and WALTER HEDLEY VICARS TAINE, carrying on business as Importers and Indentors at Auckland and Christchurch under the style or firm of “Jull and Taine,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.
All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said WALTER HEDLEY VICARS TAINE, who will continue to carry on the said business.

FRIENDLY SOCIETIES ACT, 1909.—ADVERTISEMENT OF CANCELLING.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this twenty-seventh day of September, 1921, cancelled the registry of The Star of Newtown Lodge No. 24 of the Grand Lodge of New Zealand Independent Order of Good Templars, Right Worthy Grand Lodge of the World (Register No. 245), held at Wellington, on the ground that the said society has ceased to exist.

In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and amendments thereof; the Public Works· Act, 1908, and amendments thereof; and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920.
WHEREAS certain lands are required to be taken by the Te Puke Town Board for a public work: And whereas a survey has been made and a plan prepared showing the lands required to be taken, together with the names of the owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can be ascertained: Notice is hereby given that a copy of such plan is deposited at the office of the said Board, and may there be inspected by any person at all reasonable hours.
The land required to be taken is for the purpose of increasing, and protecting from contamination, the existing water-supply to the Te Puke Town District.
The following is a general description of the land required to be taken :—
Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10; part 13 (23 a. 0 r. 32 p.); part 14 (71 a. 0 r. 24 p.); part Otawa No. 1B 1 (22 acres); part Otawa No. 1B 2 (19 a. 2 r. 35 p.); part Otawa No. 1B 3 (25 perches); and part 28 (398 acres); of Blocks I and V, Maketu Survey District; the total net area being 705 acres 2 roods 20 perches.
All persons affected shall set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and shall send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the said Board.
