Amending Regulations for Trout-fishing, Opotiki Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of October, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 150, of the fourth day of the same month, regulations were made for trout-fishing in the Opotiki Acclimatization District:

And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations in the manner hereinafter described:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke clause two of the hereinbefore-recited regulations, and doth hereby make the following regulation in lieu thereof.


REGULATION.

  1. THE fees to be charged for licenses as aforesaid shall be as follows:—

For each license for the full season .. .. 1 0 0
For each license issued after the 20th day of December in any one year, for a period extending until the termination of the then trout-fishing season .. .. .. 0 12 6
For a license extending over a period of one month from the date of issue thereof .. 0 10 0
For a license extending over a period of one week from the date of issue thereof .. 0 7 6
For a license issued to bona fide travellers and strangers not resident within the district, in respect of any one day .. .. .. 0 2 6

Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of October, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

Castlepoint County Council (for erecting bridges over Taueru, Rorokoko, and Kahumingi Streams) .. 2,000

Consenting to the Raising of £10,000, being Part of a Loan of £561,943 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council, on the Instalment System extending over a Period of Thirty-six and a Half Years.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 4th day of October, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS section thirteen of the Finance Act, 1921, provides that where any local authority, as defined by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, has heretofore been or shall hereafter be authorized to raise a loan, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise, and whether such loan has been raised in part or not, such local authority may, with the consent of the Governor-General in Council, raise any part of such loan upon terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over such period of years, whether in excess of the period mentioned in the poll taken on the proposal for such loan or not, and payable at such times as may be fixed by such local authority, and may permanently appropriate and pledge for the purpose of securing such instalments any special rate already made or hereafter to be made, or any part of such special rate:

And whereas the Wellington City Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of five hundred and sixty-one thousand nine hundred and forty-three pounds for water-supply, and has been unable to raise the whole amount on the terms specified:

And whereas application has been made by the City Council for the consent of His Excellency the Governor-General in Council to the raising of ten thousand pounds, being part of the above-mentioned five hundred and sixty-one thousand nine hundred and forty-three pounds, on the instalment system extending over a period of thirty-six and a half years:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Wellington City Council raising the said sum of ten thousand pounds upon the terms of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable by instalments extending over a period of thirty-six and a half years, and the said Wellington City Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of ten thousand pounds on these terms.

Declaring Portions of Road in Block XV, Alexandra Survey District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of September, 1921.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.
