Notice fixing Closing-hours of (1) Hairdressers' and (2) Tobacconists' Shops in the Borough of Motueka, under the Shops and Offices Act, 1908.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) hairdresser and (2) tobacconist in the Borough of Motueka has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the borough be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, at 6.30 p.m., Fridays at 9 p.m.; provided (1) that should the occupier of any shop affected by this requisition observe, pursuant to the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, any other day than Saturday as the statutory closing-day, then and in such case the closing-hour on Saturday for any such shop shall be 6.30 p.m., (2) in the evening of the working-day that first precedes Christmas Day there shall be no fixed closing-hour, (3) in the evening of the working-day that first precedes Good Friday the closing-hour shall be 9 p.m.:
And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the shops in each of the trades of (1) hairdresser and (2) tobacconist within the Borough of Motueka:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, I do hereby direct that on and after the 6th day of October, 1921, all the shops in each of the trades of (1) hairdresser and (2) tobacconist in the Borough of Motueka shall be closed accordingly.
The notice gazetted on the 26th May, 1921, fixing the closing-hours of all shops in the Borough of Motueka is hereby superseded, in so far as it relates to the shops affected by this notice, as from the date of the coming into operation of this notice.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th May, 1916, fixing the closing-hours of drapery, clothing, mercery, and boot-dealers' shops in the Borough of Blenheim is hereby superseded, in so far as it relates to the shops affected by this notice, as from the date of coming into operation of this notice.

WHEREAS a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the grocers' shops in the Borough of Blenheim, has been forwarded to us, desiring that all such shops in the borough be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, at 5.30 p.m., on Fridays at 9 p.m.; in the evening of the working-day first preceding Christmas Day there shall be no fixed closing-hour; in the evening of the working-day that first precedes Good Friday the closing-hour shall be 9 p.m.:
And whereas I, George James Anderson, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the grocers' shops within the Borough of Blenheim:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, I do hereby direct that on and after the 6th day of October, 1921, all the grocers' shops within the Borough of Blenheim shall be closed accordingly.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th May, 1916, fixing the closing-hours of grocers' shops in the Borough of Blenheim is hereby cancelled as from the date of coming into operation of this notice.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of September, 1921.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf from a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and declare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in Council a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:
And whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions of the said Act has been received, asking that the lands described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of “the Whitehall Rabbit District” and declare that part of New Zealand defined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare that the Board of Trustees for the said district shall in terms of the said Act consist of six members.

ALL that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded by a line commencing at a point on the confiscation boundary-line between the Counties of Piako and Matamata at the south-west corner of Lot 1 of Section 13, Block X, Cambridge Survey District, Whitehall Settlement, thence proceeding in a northerly direction along the confiscation boundary-line to the north-western corner of the Taotaoroa Riding, Matamata County; thence following the northern boundary of the said Taotaoroa Riding to the boundary of Te Tapui Block; thence in a northerly direction to the north-western corner of the said Te Tapui Block; thence along the north-eastern boundary of the said Te Tapui Block until it reaches the Mangapapa River; thence in a southerly direction along the boundary of the said Mangapapa River to the eastern boundary of the said Taotaoroa Riding; thence in a northerly direction continuing along the boundary of the said Te Tapui Block to the north-eastern corner of Section 42 of Hinuera No. 2 Block; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of said Lot 42 continuing in a southerly direction to the south-eastern corner of the said lot; thence continuing in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of Lot 9A, Hinuera No. 2 Block, to the south-eastern corner thereof; thence continuing along the southern boundary of said Lot 9A to the south-western corner; thence along the boundary of said Lot 9A in a northerly direction to a point where it adjoins that lot of part Hinuera No. 2 shown on public map as containing 324 acres 2 roods 8 perches; thence continuing along the southern boundary of the land last mentioned and Lot 42B, Hinuera No. 2 Block; thence in a westerly direction to the commencing-point: including in the area Lot 2 of Section 3, Lot 3 of part Section 2, Lot 2 of part Section 2, and Lot 1 of Section 13, Block X, Cambridge Survey District.
