HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to appoint, in terms of section 71 of the Rabbit
Nuisance Act, 1908,
WALTER STOPFORD
to be Returning Officer to hold the first election of trustees
for the Whitehall Rabbit District, constituted under Part III
of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 326 of
the Land Act, 1908, that the undermentioned land
will be disposed of under section 14 of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1912, to the holder of the adjacent land,
on and after Friday, the 16th December, 1921.

holders of the adjacent land, on and after Wednesday, the
28th December, 1921.

Maori Land for Sale by Public Tender.
Tokerau District Maori Land Board,
Auckland, 22nd September, 1921.
NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of the Native Land
Act, 1909, and the regulations thereunder, that
written tenders are invited and will be received at the office
of the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, Auckland, up to
4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 27th October, 1921, for the
purchase of the lands named in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI COUNTY.
Blocks III, VII, and VIII, Whangarei Survey District.
HORAHORA 1b 3 Block: Area, 101 acres 0 roods 12 perches;
upset price, £101.
Third-class land; portion is covered with bush, and por-
tion is swamp; balance is covered with scrub. Access is by
road.
Block VIII, Whangarei Survey District.
Horahora 2b 4 Block: Area, 110 acres 2 roods 34 perches;
upset price, £300.
Third-class land, mostly covered with light bush and high
manuka, portion is in grass and scrub. It has no road access.
Access is by the sea.
ABSTRACT OF CONDITIONS.
-
Every tenderer to deposit along with his tender a sum
equal to 5 per cent. of the price tendered, and to pay a
further 5 per cent. on being declared the purchaser. The
balance of the purchase-money to be paid in twenty equal
half-yearly instalments. -
The purchaser to pay interest on unpaid purchase-money
at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum. Interest to be payable
on the 1st July and 1st January of each year, and to date
from the signing of contract of sale. -
Tenders for purchase must be accompanied by a fee of
£4 4s. to meet costs and expenses incidental thereon, together
with the amount with which the section is loaded for im-
provements (if any), and also an amount sufficient to cover
stamp duty (10s. for every £50 or portion thereof) and 10s.
for registration fee. -
The purchaser shall, at the end of five years, upon pay-
ment of balance of purchase-money, be entitled to a transfer
of the fee-simple of the land. -
Residence and improvements to conform with sections
250 and 256 of the Native Land Act, 1909.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDERERS.

The land to be sold subject to reserve price specified.
-
Each tender shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope,
addressed to the President of the Board, and marked on the
outside as follows: “Tender for purchase of Block
as advertised in the newspaper of the day
of , 1921.” -
The highest tenderer to be declared the purchaser, but
the Board reserves to itself the right to decline to accept any
tender. -
The successful purchaser will require to make a declara-
tion to the effect that he is legally qualified to become the
purchaser of the land, and that he is acquiring the land
solely for his own use and benefit, and not directly or indi-
rectly for the use or benefit of any other person. -
The land is offered under the Native Land Act, 1909,
and the regulations made thereunder, and the purchaser shall
be deemed to be acquainted with the provisions thereof, and
be bound thereby as effectually as if such provisions were
embodied therein. -
Intending purchasers are notified that they must make
their own arrangements for road access to the Horahora 2b 4
Block.
INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS.
The land is described for the general information of intend-
ing tenderers, who are recommended, nevertheless, to make
personal inspection, as the Board is not responsible for the
absolute accuracy of any description.
The area may be liable to slight alterations.
Tenders must be sent to the office of the Tokerau District
Maori Land Board, Auckland, and must be made on the
proper forms, to be obtained at the office of the Board.
Full particulars may be obtained at the office of the
Tokerau District Maori Land Board, Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that TONI RAUKURA, of
Kakahi, Aboriginal Native, was this day adjudged
bankrupt; and I hereby summon a meeting of creditors
to be helden at the Courthouse, Taupo, on Wednesday, the
5th day of October, 1921, at 11 o’clock a.m.
