January, 1917, page 246, bounded towards the north-east by
the Waikato River to its confluence with Mystery Stream;
thence towards the south-east by Mystery Stream aforesaid
to the road forming the western boundary of Allotment 312A,
Parish of Te Rapa ; thence by that allotment and Allotments
312, 311, 308A, and 308 of the Parish of Te Rapa aforesaid ;
thence across a public road by its west side to the middle of
the road forming the north boundary of Allotment 301,
Ngaroto Parish; thence towards the south by a line along
the middle of the said road forming the north-east boundaries
of Allotment 301 aforesaid and Allotments 314, 315, 316, and
317 of Ngaroto Parish aforesaid, to and across the Auckland-
Wellington Main Trunk Railway; thence towards the west
by the western side of aforesaid railway to the southern
boundary of the Borough of Hamilton aforesaid; thence
towards the north by the southern boundary of the Borough
of Hamilton aforesaid to the place of commencement.

3. Each of such new ridings shall elect one Councillor to

SPECIAL ORDER.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, the Waipa County
Council hereby, by special order, declares that on and after
the 1st day of April, 1921, the Tuhikaramea Road Board
shall be dissolved and the Tuhikaramea Road District merged
in the County of Waipa.

Special Order made by the Heathcote County Council altering
Boundaries of Ridings.

HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of
the Counties Act, 1920, the Heathcote County Council resolves
by way of special order as follows:-
That the boundaries of the Valley and the Mount Pleasant
Ridings of the County of Heathcote be altered by excluding
from the said Valley Riding all that area described in the
Schedule hereto, and including same in the Mount Pleasant
Riding.
The alteration hereby made shall take effect on 1st April,
1922.
SCHEDULE.
All that land contained in Rural Sections 4, 24813, 1161,
and Reserve 41, Block XVI, Christchurch Survey District.

Fixing the Time and Place for holding the First Meeting of
the Opunake Electric-power Board.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
by section 4 of the Electric-power Boards Amendment
Act, 1920, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, the Minister of Public
Works, do hereby fix Wednesday, the 5th day of October,
1921, as the time, and the Town Board Offices, Opunake, as
the place, for the first meeting of the Opunake Electric-power
Board.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VI, Opoiti Survey
District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the
provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute
a certain public work-to wit, the construction of a road
in Block VI, Opoiti Survey District; and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Reinga, and is
there open for inspection; and that all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and
send such writing, within forty days from the first publication
of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken:
1 rood 2 perches.
Portion of Rimuroa No. 3, Block VI, Opoiti Survey District
(Poverty Bay R.D.). (S.O. 664.)
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 52629,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

Notice under the Mining Amendment Act, 1915.
WHEREAS it is provided by section 3 of the Mining
Amendment Act, 1915, that the Minister of Mines,
or any person authorized by him, may, on behalf of His
Majesty, apply for, lease, purchase, or otherwise acquire and
hold, or sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of, any mining privilege
under the principal Act :
And whereas an abandoned water-race having its head
in Rocky Creek is required for the purpose of the supply of
water for the new railway-station at Seven Mile, on the
Greymouth-Point Elizabeth Railway Extension to Seven
Mile :
Now, therefore, I, Robert Heaton Rhodes, acting for and
on behalf of the Minister of Mines, do authorize James Douglas
Gillies, Resident Engineer of the Public Works Department
at Greymouth, to apply on behalf of His Majesty for the
said water-right, in terms of the said principal Act.
