Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 23rd September, 1921.
THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Council of the Borough of Morrinsville, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF MORRINSVILLE.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Morrinsville taken on the 14th day of September, 1921, on the proposal of the Morrinsville Borough Council to borrow the sum of £10,000 to complete the work of providing a water-supply for the Morrinsville Borough, including the reticulation of certain new streets, and also for the purpose of paying the sum of £788 6s. ld., being the sum expended on preliminary experimental work on the Kuranui Bore, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 123, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
Results of Loan Polls.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of that part of the City of Christchurch named “Spreydon Park Special Rating Area,” taken on the 15th day of September, 1921, on the proposal of the Christchurch City Council to borrow the sum of £3,500 for the purchase and improvement of a piece of land abutting on Barrington Street, and also having a frontage to Simeon Street, and having an area of 13 acres 2 roods 21 perches, or thereabout, for use as a pleasure-ground for the use and benefit for the inhabitants of that part of the City of Christchurch named by resolution of the Christchurch City Council “Spreydon Park Special Rating Area,” the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 161, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 151.
And I declare the proposal to be carried.
I hereby give further notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch taken on the 15th day of September, 1921, on the proposal of the Christchurch City Council to borrow the sum of £50,000 for the erection in Manchester Street, on the land formerly occupied by the Canterbury Hall, of a building containing Council chamber, offices, furnishings for same, and all things necessary and incidental thereto, to be used for municipal purposes, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,748, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,604.
And I declare the proposal to be carried.
I hereby give further notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch taken on the 15th day of September, 1921, on the proposal of the Christchurch City Council to borrow the sum of £50,000 for the erection upon land in Manchester Street, formerly occupied by the Canterbury Hall, of a concert chamber and assembly room, &c., together with appurtenances for same, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,406, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,929.
And I declare the proposal to be rejected.
I hereby give further notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Christchurch taken on the 15th day of September, 1921, on the proposal of the Christchurch City Council to borrow the sum of £60,000 for the purchase of that block of land bounded by Cambridge Terrace, Victoria Street, Kilmore Street, and Colombo Street as a site upon which to erect a town hall, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,235, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2,057.
And I declare the proposal to be rejected.

BOROUGH OF GERALDINE.
Results of Polls to raise Special Loans.
Notice is hereby given that on the 7th day of September, 1921, proposals to raise special loans under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, were submitted to a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Geraldine, and that the voting at such poll resulted as under:
(1.) Town Hall and Library Loan of £5,000: For the proposal, 92 votes; against the proposal, 82 votes; informal, 2 votes.
(2.) Masonic Hall Purchase Loan of £800: For the proposal, 127 votes; against the proposal, 46 votes; informal, 3 votes.
And we declare each of the said loans to be duly carried.
Dated at Geraldine this 20th day of September, 1921.

Special Order made by the Waipa County Council altering Ridings.

THE following special order, made by the Waipa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

SPECIAL ORDER.
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, the Waipa County Council hereby, by special order, resolves as follows:
-
On and after the 1st day of April, 1922, the Hamilton Riding of the county shall be subdivided into two new ridings, to be known as the Hamilton North Riding and the Hamilton South Riding respectively.

The boundaries of the new ridings shall be as follows:
Hamilton North Riding.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in the Waipa County, commencing at the easternmost corner of Allotment 110, Parish of Horotiu (Block XII, Newcastle Survey District), bounded towards the north-east by the Waikato River to the northern boundary of the Borough of Hamilton, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of the 25th January, 1917, page 246; thence towards the south-east and again towards the north-east by the Borough of Hamilton aforesaid to the Auckland-Wellington Main Trunk Railway line; thence towards the east by the said Main Trunk Railway line to a point the production of the south-western boundary-line of Allotment 364, Parish of Te Rapa; thence towards the south-west by a right line to and by the south-west boundary of Allotment 364 aforesaid, across a public road, and by the south-west boundaries of Allotments 364 aforesaid and Allotment 19 of the aforesaid parish, and its production to the middle of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 96, Parish of Pukete; thence towards the west and south-west generally by a line along the middle of a public road fronting Allotments 96 aforesaid, 94, 93, 91, 90, 88, 110, 109, 111, 112, 153, 152, 151, 149, 148, 147, and 146, all of the Parish of Pukete, to the middle of the road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 91, Parish of Horotiu; thence by a line along the middle of that road to a point the production of the south-east boundary-line of Allotment 156, Parish of Horotiu; thence towards the north-west by a line to and by the south-east boundary of Allotment 166 aforesaid, across a public road, by the south-east boundaries of Allotments 120 and 119, across the Auckland-Wellington Main Trunk Railway line, again by the south-east boundary of Allotment 119 aforesaid, across a public road, and by the south-east boundary of Allotment 110, all the last said allotments being in the Parish of Horotiu, to the point of commencement.
