SEPT. 29.]\nTHE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. 2417\n\nConstituting the Lochiel Rabbit District.—Notice No. 2083.\nJELLICOE, Governor-General.\nORDER IN COUNCIL.\nAt the Government House at Wellington, this 27th day of\nSeptember, 1921.\nPresent :\nHis Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.\nWHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance\nAct, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as\namended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918,\nit is provided that the Governor-General may from time to\ntime, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf\nfrom a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and\ndeclare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in\nCouncil a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act :\nAnd whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions\nof the said Act has been received, asking that the lands\ndescribed in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared\na rabbit district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act :\nNow, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of\nthe Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of\nthe powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act\nand its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and\nconsent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth\nhereby constitute by the specific name of “the Lochiel\nRabbit District” and declare that part of New Zealand\ndefined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes\nof Part III of the said Act; and doth hereby further declare\nthat the Board of Trustees for the said district shall in terms\nof the said Act consist of eight members.\nSCHEDULE.\nALL that area in the New River and Winton Hundred, in\nthe Southland Land District, bounded by a line along the\nInvercargill-Kingston Railway line from Wilson’s Crossing\nto the north-east corner of Section 16, Block I, Winton\nHundred, and thence in a westerly direction along the\nnorthern boundary-lines of Sections 16 and 9, Block I, and\nSections 10, 11, and 12, Block VII, Winton Hundred, to\nthe Oreti River ; thence following the Oreti River south\nto the south-west boundary of Section 53, Block XIII, New\nRiver Hundred; and thence in an easterly direction along\nthe Wilson’s Crossing Road to the Invercargill-Kingston\nRailway line at the point of commencement.\nC.
