DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership which has for some time past has been carried on by PERCIVAL JOHN HAWKE at Eltham, under the name or style of “Hawke Bros.,” in the trade or business of Hairdressers and Tobacconists, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the twenty-ninth day of August, 1921. The said business will in future be carried on by the said Percival John Hawke in his own name, and the said Percival John Hawke will discharge all the liabilities of and receive all moneys owing to the late Partnership.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling Lower Ball Road, the said Patea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Lower Ball Road Special Rating Area within the following boundaries: Commencing at the intersection of the Ball Road with the main South Road; thence by the north and north-western boundaries of Section 515; thence by the south boundary of Sections 516 and 525; thence by the Mangaroa Stream to its junction with the Kaikura Lake; thence by north-west boundary of Section 423, the Manawapou Road, and the south boundary of Section 424 to the Ball Road; thence by the Ball Road and Manawapou Road and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 459, 457, and 455; thence in a right line to the main South Road, and by the main South Road to the commencing-point.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such-loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off. 722

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the said Horowhenua County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling Lindsay Road, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and two-fifths pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Lindsay Road Special Rating District, comprising part of Horowhenua 11b 36, viz.: Sections 3G, 3G 2A, 3G No. 3, pt. 3H 2B, 3H 3, parts 2L 1A, 2L 1B, 2L 1C, 2L 1E, and part 2K, Block XIII, Mount Robinson Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. 723

TAKE notice that the Partnership heretofore carried on between DAVID AMOS and BRUCE WALLACE at Grey Lynn, Auckland, under the style of “Amos and Wallace,” has been dissolved as from the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and that as from that date the said David Amos shall carry on business at the premises of the late Partnership alone. All debts due to the late Partnership shall be paid to the said David Amos, and all liabilities of the late Partnership shall be discharged by the said David Amos.
