Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PEPE BLOCK.

SECTIONS 2, 3, and 4, Block IX, Whitianga Survey District: Area, 2,344 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of August, 1921.

Land in Nelson Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Nelson Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix three years from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 7, Block VIII, Takaka Survey District : Area, 878 acres. lst July, 1919.

Trustees of Oamaru Racecourse appointed.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS Laurence Edmund Haines and Jasper Gauntlet Nicolls were appointed to be trustees of the Oamaru Racecourse, under the provisions of an Ordinance of the Provincial Council of Otago intituled the Oamaru Racecourse Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870: And whereas the said Jasper Gauntlet Nicolls is deceased, and the said Laurence Edmund Haines has resigned his office as trustee, and it is therefore necessary to appoint other persons to be trustees in the place of the said Jasper Gauntlet Nicolls and Laurence Edmund Haines:

Now, therefore, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the aforesaid Ordinance and by section twenty-six of the Acts Interpretation Act, 1908, do hereby appoint

GEORGE LIVINGSTONE and CHARLES AUGUSTUS LA ROCHE, of Oamaru, to be permanent trustees and members of the corporate body appointed under the said Oamaru Race-

course Reserve Management Ordinance, 1870, by the name and style of "The Trustees of the Oamaru Racecourse," in the place of the said Jasper Gauntlet Nicolls and Laurence Edmund Haines.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of August, 1921.

Land proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation approved in Executive Council, declare that any national-endowment land disposed of under the Land Act, 1908, and held under lease or license by any person who is competent to acquire land under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, shall cease to be national-endowment land:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, which is so held on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1908, should cease to be national-endowment land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section eleven, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, shall cease to be national-endowment land.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 6, Block IX, Patetere North Survey District: Area, 189 acres 3 roods.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of August, 1921.

A PROCLAMATION.

N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Rangitoto Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 12·7 perches.

Portion of Lot 18 of Block IX, part Allotment 26, Waitemata Parish ; coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 7·1 perches.
