Boundaries of Districts under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Oxford, Malvern, Inglewood, Waitara, Morrinsville, Cambridge, Matata, and Whakatane districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into eight registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Oxford, Malvern, Inglewood, Waitara, Morrinsville, Cambridge, Matata, and Whakatane districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names, as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of August, 1921.

Boundaries of Districts under the Marriage Act, 1908, altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Oxford, Malvern, Inglewood, Waitara, Morrinsville, Cambridge, Matata, and Whakatane districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into eight marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—

.OXFORD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at Ashley Head, and proceeding along a right line to Block Hill; thence along a right line to the source of the Ashley River and down the right bank of that river to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Station 16, Mairaki Survey District, and the north-western corner of Section 9791; thence along that line to the said corner, along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 13684, and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 13684, 15467, 5896, 1025, 14620, 13974, across a road-line, and along the north-western boundary of Section 1154 to its south-western corner; thence along a right line to the northern corner of Section 20235, and along its north-western boundary to the Eyre River; thence along a right line to the north-western corner of Section 13682, and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 13682, 13681, and 15260; thence along a right line to the northern corner of Section 34754, and along its north-western boundary, across a road, and the north-western boundaries of Sections 30310, 33342, 33451, and the production of the last boundary-line to a road; thence north-westerly along that road to Trig. Station 48, and along a right line from that trig. to the north-eastern corner of Section 32083; thence along the north-western side of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of that section, and its production to the right bank of the Waimakariri River; thence up the said right bank to a point due west of Trig. Station S on the summit of the Puketiraki Range; thence along a right line to said trig. station, and along the Puketiraki Range to Ashley Head, the point of commencement.

MALVERN DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the Teremakau Saddle, and proceeding thence along the watershed through Snowy Peak and Esk Head to Ashley Head; thence along the Puketiraki Range to Trig. Station S; thence due west to the right bank of the Waimakariri River, and down that bank to a point in line with the Selwyn and Waimakariri Road; thence to and along that road, the Greendale and Station Road, and the Great South Road to the Selwyn River; thence up that river and the Waianiwaniwa branch to the Homebush Road; thence by straight lines passing through Porter’s Pass and Browning’s Pass; thence northerly along the dividing-range to the point of commencement.
