Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and twenty-six of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twenty-third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments ; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Moturiki Township is situated on the eastern shore of Tauranga Harbour, at the present railway terminus. The sections are generally level or have easy slopes. Soil is of a sandy nature, covered with fern and manuka. The town lies generally 30 ft. above sea-level.

Opening Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale or Selection.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one ; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease ; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Rotorua County.—Rotoiti Survey District.
SECTION 3, Block X : Area, 99 acres. Capital value, £200. Occupation with right of purchase : Half-yearly rent, £5. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £4.
Section 4, Block X : Area, 90 acres 3 roods 32 perches. Capital value, £180. Occupation with right of purchase : Half-yearly rent, £4 10s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £3 12s.
Section 5, Block X : Area, 168 acres 2 roods 7 perches. Capital value, £250. Occupation with right of purchase : Half-yearly rent, £6 5s. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £5.
Section 6, Block X : Area, 199 acres 0 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £200. Occupation with right of purchase : Half-yearly rent, £5. Renewable lease : Half-yearly rent, £4.
Situated on the eastern side of Lake Rotorua, about eight to nine miles from Rotorua by good road, along which motor service passes daily for Paengaroa and Whakatane respectively. The Te Ngae School adjoins the southern boundary of Section 4. Undulating country, mostly ploughable, covered with fern and tutu, &c. Soil of good quality, resting on pumice formation on the western portion of sections, but of lighter quality on the eastern portion. Altitude, about 920 ft. to 1,050 ft. above sea-level.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Auckland Land District for other Land.
JELLICOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section six of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1920, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 88 acres, more or less, being Section 1 of Block XV, Whakatane Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Allotment 326 of Waimana Parish, 4499·1 links ; towards the east by a public road of various widths ; towards the south by Allotment 325 of the said parish, 2952·2 links ; and towards the west by Allotments 317 and 316, Waimana Parish, 2253·6 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2722, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 117 acres, more or less, being part of Allotments 334 and 356, Waimana Parish. Bounded towards the north-east by a road along the Nukuhou Stream, 86·4, 228,
