A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, John Rushworth, Viscount Jellicoe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto, such roads being no longer required.

Authorizing the Purchase by the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board of the Akaroa Borough Electric Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day of July, 1921.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE D. H. GUTHRIE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Amendment Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the purchase by the Banks Peninsula Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), duly constituted under the provisions of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, of the electric works the property of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Akaroa (hereinafter referred to as “the borough”), in accordance with the provisions of the agreement for sale and purchase dated the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, between the Board and the borough.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the additional land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a mental hospital (Porirua), portion of such land being occupied by buildings.
